Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the following qualification as on the last date fixed for online application:

  • Peons, Watchman, Sweepers, Peons (House Keeping): Tenth Standard (SSLC) pass or equivalent examination.
  • Lift Attender: Tenth Standard pass or equivalent examination, along with experience in lift mechanism.
  • Assistant Binder: Tenth Standard pass or equivalent examination, along with not less than two years of experience in binding work.
  • Tailor: Tenth Standard pass or equivalent examination, along with not less than three years of experience in tailoring work.
  • Dhobi: Tenth Standard pass or equivalent examination, along with work experience as a Dhobi.

Note: "Tenth Standard or equivalent" is as prescribed under Government of Karnataka Circular No. DPAR 81 SCR 2017 dated 27.02.2018.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years (as on the last date fixed for online application).
  • General Merit candidates: Maximum 40 years.
  • Other Backward Classes – Category II(A) / II(B) / III(A) / III(B): Maximum 43 years.
  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Category-I of Other Backward Classes: Maximum 45 years.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates will draw the following pay scale (Level as per Karnataka Civil Services Pay Rules) along with admissible allowances:

  • Peon, Watchman, Sweeper, Peons (House Keeping), Assistant Binder, Dhobi: Level-2, ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
  • Lift Attender, Tailor: Level-3, ₹21,700 – ₹69,100

Selected candidates will initially be placed on probation for a period of two years, or an extended period if necessary.

  • Fee must be paid through the SBI online payment gateway as mentioned in the online application.
  • Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, even if paid for more than one application.
  • Candidates can submit the application and pay the fee round the clock till 11:59 PM on 31.07.2026.
  • Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Selection Process

For Peons, Watchman, Sweepers, Peons (House Keeping), Lift Attender, Tailor and Dhobi:

  • The merit list for interview will be prepared based on the percentage of total marks secured in the qualifying examination, applying reservation rules for SC, ST, OBC, women, rural candidates, ex-servicemen and other categories as per law.
  • Candidates called for interview will be 10 times the number of vacancies notified, in order of merit, for each category.

For Assistant Binder:

  • Candidates called for interview will be 5 times the number of vacancies notified, in order of merit.

Merely attending the interview does not confer any right to appointment. Final selection depends on the High Court of Karnataka being satisfied that the candidate is suitable in all respects.

Required Documents

Candidates must upload the following scanned documents in PDF format (clear and legible) at the time of application:

  • SSLC Marks Card or equivalent examination certificate (as proof of date of birth), and higher qualification certificates, if any.
  • Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (if applicable). SC candidates must upload a caste certificate showing internal reservation (Category A, B or C).
  • Other reservation certificates as applicable: Rural Reservation (Form-2, studied Class I to X in rural area), Kannada Medium Reservation (RPC only), Persons with Benchmark Disability certificate, Persons Displaced from Project certificate, Ex-servicemen discharge summary, Transgender certificate, or 371(J) Kalyana Karnataka Region eligibility certificate (KKR only).
  • Experience certificates for Lift Attender, Assistant Binder, Tailor and Dhobi posts.
  • Recent passport-size photograph with white background (5 cm x 3.5 cm, max 50 KB, JPG format).
  • Signature in black ball-point pen on white paper (2.5 cm x 7.5 cm, max 25 KB, JPG format).

Documents not uploaded at the time of application submission will not be accepted later.

How to Apply for High Court of Karnataka Group D Recruitment 2026

  1. Visit the official website of the High Court of Karnataka: judiciary.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. Locate the Group D Recruitment (RPC or KKR, as applicable) online application link.
  3. Fill in all required details accurately, including a valid mobile number and email ID.
  4. Upload the scanned photograph, signature, and all required documents/certificates as per the specifications.
  5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) through the SBI online payment gateway.
  6. Preview the filled application carefully before final submission — applications cannot be withdrawn or modified once submitted.
  7. Submit the application and take a printout for your records.
  8. Note down the application number for future reference and for generating the Intimation Letter for interview.

Applications sent or submitted through any mode other than online will not be considered. If a candidate submits more than one application for the same post, only the last submitted application will be considered.

Important Instructions

  • Candidates intending to apply for multiple Group D posts under the Residual Parent Cadre must apply separately for each cadre through the respective links, uploading relevant documents each time.
  • Suppression of information regarding any higher qualification beyond SSLC/10th standard will attract penal consequences.
  • Caste and other reservation certificates obtained after the last date of online application will not be considered.
  • Original documents must be produced at the time of interview/verification; failure to do so will result in cancellation of the claimed reservation, and the application will be considered only under the General Merit category (if eligible).
  • Candidates called for interview must carry the Intimation Letter along with original proof of identity (Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Passport, or Driving License) and original reservation documents.
  • Three character certificates are required: one from the head of the institution where the candidate completed 10th standard, and two from respectable persons (non-relatives) acquainted with the candidate.
  • In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) immediately after the selection list is issued, and before the appointment order is issued.
  • Selected candidates are liable to be posted at the High Court of Karnataka's Principal Bench in Bengaluru, or at the Benches in Dharwad or Kalaburagi.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between the Kannada and English versions of the notification, the English version shall prevail.
  • If any information furnished by a candidate is found false, or eligibility criteria are not fulfilled, or facts are suppressed/twisted at any stage — even after appointment — the candidature/appointment will be cancelled/terminated, and the candidate may face penal and criminal action.
