High Court of Karnataka Group-D Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must satisfy the required educational qualification and age criteria as on the last date prescribed for submission of online applications.
Educational Qualification
- Peons, Watchman, Sweepers, Peons (House Keeping): SSLC / 10th Standard Pass or equivalent.
- Lift Attender: SSLC / 10th Standard Pass and experience in Lift Mechanism.
- Assistant Binder: SSLC / 10th Standard Pass with a minimum of 2 years experience in binding work.
- Tailor: SSLC / 10th Standard Pass with a minimum of 3 years experience in tailoring work.
- Dhobi: SSLC / 10th Standard Pass with relevant experience as Dhobi.
Age Limit
Age shall be calculated as on the cut-off date mentioned in the notification.
- Minimum Age (all categories): 18 years
- Maximum Age - General Merit (GM): 40 years
- Maximum Age - Category-II(A)/II(B)/III(A)/III(B): 43 years
- Maximum Age - SC/ST/Category-I: 45 years
Age relaxation applies as per Government orders including one-time relaxation up to 5 years, wherever applicable, subject to conditions laid down in the notification.
High Court of Karnataka Group-D Application Fee 2026
Candidates are required to pay the following application fees through the State Bank of India (SBI) online payment gateway as per instructions provided in the online application portal.
- General Merit / Category-II(A) / II(B) / III(A) / III(B): ₹200/-
- SC / ST / Category-I / PwBD: ₹100/-
The fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances. Applications submitted without payment of prescribed fee (where applicable) will be rejected.
High Court of Karnataka Group-D Selection Process 2026
The selection process for High Court of Karnataka Group-D posts will be carried out as per the High Court of Karnataka Service (Conditions of Service and Recruitment) Rules and relevant Government orders. The main stages are as follows.
- Shortlisting of candidates based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (SSLC/10th Standard or equivalent).
- Interview carrying a maximum of 10 marks.
- Final selection based on merit, taking into account reservation policies and category-wise vacancies.
- Verification of original documents and certificates before appointment.
Candidates will be shortlisted in the order of merit as per category, and the number of candidates called for interview is expected to be multiple times the number of vacancies as per rules. In case of tie in interview marks, older candidates may be placed higher in merit as per the conditions in the rules/notification.

High Court of Karnataka Group-D Remuneration 2026
The selected candidates will be paid salary in the following pay scales along with admissible allowances as per the High Court of Karnataka (Officers & Officials) Revised Pay Rules and Government norms.
- Level-2 posts (Peon, Watchman, Sweeper, Peons (House Keeping), Assistant Binder, Dhobi): ₹19,900 - ₹63,200.
- Level-3 posts (Lift Attender, Tailor): ₹21,700 - ₹69,100.
In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for allowances as may be applicable from time to time. The candidates appointed will be on probation for a period of 2 years or as extended in accordance with the rules.
