Other Allowances & Facilities
- Life Insurance: Reimbursement of premium up to ₹500/month, on production of the original receipt.
- Health Benefits: Medical Allowance of ₹500/month for OPD expenses, plus reimbursement of health insurance premium up to ₹500/month.
- Annual Increment: 4% of the consolidated remuneration after completion of every year of contractual engagement.
- TA & Hotel Accommodation: As per prescribed rates, when required to travel for official work beyond the Project area.
- Travel Facilities: Complementary Railway Pass for duty travel; reimbursement for road travel as per KRCL's extant policy.
- Rest House / Hotel: KRCL Rest House while on duty, if available; otherwise hotel charge reimbursement as per fixed rates.
- Leave: 15 days fully earned leave per every 6 months (accumulable, non-encashable), plus 8 days Casual Leave per year of contract; weekly off and applicable public holidays.
- Career Progression: In exceptional cases, upgradation to the next higher level is possible after 2 years of service, subject to vacancy, HOD recommendation, screening, and interview.
Important: No overtime allowance or compensation is paid for extra working hours during exigencies, as this is included in the fixed monthly remuneration. No accommodation, food, or mess allowance will be provided by KRCL.
KRCL Selection Process
- Candidates arrive at the venue at the specified time and register with the nominated KRCL official.
- A Group Discussion (GD) or other elimination round may be introduced, depending on the number of candidates; only those who clear it proceed to the interview.
- A nominated Committee conducts the interview; the merit list is finalized based on interview performance, qualification, and post-qualification experience.
- The decision of the Nominated Committee of KRCL is final and binding.
- Selected candidates must pass a prescribed medical examination before the contract is entered into.
Note: A standby panel of candidates, over and above the notified requirement, will be maintained as per merit and may be engaged as per KRCL Projects' requirement (excluding the USBRL Project) within the panel's validity.
How to Attend the KRCL Walk-in Interview
- Confirm you meet the eligibility criteria (qualification, experience, and age) for the specific post, as detailed in the respective Annexure of the official notification.
- Download and fill the prescribed Application Format (Annexure-A) from www.konkanrailway.com → Recruitment > Current Notifications.
- Attach a recent passport-size photograph and complete all columns of the application, including educational qualification and professional experience details.
- Prepare one copy of the filled application, along with original certificates and one set of self-attested copies of all required documents.
- Report directly for the walk-in interview at the specified venue, on the date applicable to your post, between 09:00 Hrs and 12:00 Hrs for registration.
- After preliminary screening of applications submitted in person, only provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed.
Important: Applications not conforming to the prescribed format, or with illegible/ambiguous, missing, or incomplete certificates, will be summarily rejected. There is no online application for this recruitment.

Key Contract Conditions
- Selected candidates cannot claim regular/permanent absorption in KRCL on the basis of this contract, and must give a written undertaking to that effect.
- Candidates can be posted and transferred anytime, anywhere to Project sites during the contract period, based on KRCL's requirement (except the USBRL Project).
- Selected candidates should be able to join the Project site within 30 days of the offer of appointment.
- An agreement and indemnity bond of ₹50,000 (on ₹100 stamp paper) must be executed in favour of KRCL.
- Either party may terminate the contract with one month's notice or payment in lieu thereof; the Corporation may also terminate without assigning any reason if the appointee is found unsuitable.
- If any document/certificate/information is later found incorrect or false, the contractual service will be terminated immediately without notice, besides possible legal action.
- Statutory Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other applicable taxes will be deducted at source.
- Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification at any stage of selection, without assigning any reason.
- The Corporation reserves the right to cancel, restrict, curtail, or enlarge the contract engagement process at any time, without prior notice.
