Selection Process
Selection will be made through Personal Interview of the provisionally shortlisted candidates.
- Shortlisting of candidates for Personal Interview shall be done (on or before the date of Interview as per the discretion of management) based on the scrutiny of the applications against the information, declaration and supporting documents provided by the candidate at the time of submission of online application.
- The mode of selection may be changed, if required, at the discretion of Management.
- Final selection will be based on performance in the Personal Interview and verification of documents.
- List of shortlisted candidates, date, time and venue of interview will be uploaded on MECON’s official website and communicated through registered email ID.
- Candidates must produce all original certificates/documents in support of their claim at the time of interview.
- Further scrutiny of the application shall be undertaken on the date of Personal Interview. If any claim made in the application is not found substantiated, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview and no TA shall be paid.
- The decision of MECON in all matters relating to eligibility, shortlisting and selection shall be final and binding.
- Appointment is on regular basis in the regular scale of pay. Selected candidates will be appointed against regular posts.

- Read all instructions carefully before filling the online application.
- Fill all required details in the online application form and upload scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport size colour photograph (jpg/jpeg, max 40 KB)
- Signature (Blue/Black ink, jpg/jpeg, max 40 KB)
- Self-attested scanned copies in PDF format (merged into single PDF ≤ 1 MB) of: Matriculation certificate, Graduation/Post-Graduation certificates & mark sheets, Work Experience certificates, Caste/Category certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) online through the payment gateway.
- Submit the application and take a printout of the online application form for your records.
- Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications for each post.
- Applications without fee (where applicable), incomplete or incorrectly filled will be summarily rejected.
Application Fee: ₹1000/- (Non-Refundable) for OBC (NCL)/EWS category. Exempted for SC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen/Internal candidates.
Note: No hard copy of application or documents is required to be sent. Hard copy of online application is required only at the time of interview (if called).
General Instructions
- Cut-off date for determining eligibility (age, qualification, experience) is 10-03-2026.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Reservations for SC/OBC(NCL)/PwD/EWS/Ex-Servicemen shall be provided as per Govt. of India guidelines. PwD reservation is on horizontal basis.
- Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC(NCL), 5 years for SC, additional relaxation for PwD/Ex-Servicemen/J&K domicile as per rules. Upper age limit after relaxation shall not exceed 52 years.
- Candidates belonging to OBC(NCL) must produce latest OBC(NCL) certificate (not more than 1 year old) and must not belong to Creamy Layer.
- PwD candidates must upload certificate showing ≥40% disability.
- Candidates employed in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies must produce NOC from present employer at the time of interview or forward application through proper channel.
- All appointments are subject to medical fitness as per Company’s norms.
- Place of posting can be anywhere in India as per requirement of the Company.
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
- Mere submission of application does not guarantee selection.
- MECON reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
- Any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts at Ranchi (Jharkhand) only.
