Selection Process
The mode of selection shall be through Computer Based Test (CBT) of the candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as per the advertisement. The mode of selection may be changed, if required, at the discretion of Management.
Computer Based Test (CBT):

Question paper will be bilingual (English/Hindi).

Each question carries 1 mark.

0.25 negative marking for each incorrect answer.

Total duration of the test is 90 minutes.

- Finalization of eligible candidates for CBT will be done before the date of CBT based on scrutiny of online applications and uploaded documents.
- Admit Card will be available for download on Candidate Registration Portal.
- Result and final list of selected candidates will be uploaded on MECON website.
- Selected candidates will undergo Medical Examination at Company’s Hospital (Ispat Hospital, Shyamali, Ranchi). The decision of the Medical Board will be final and binding.

Steps to Apply:
- Visit MECON website www.meconlimited.co.in → Careers → Career Opportunities → Click here to apply Online.
- Register and fill the online application form with all required details.
- Upload scanned copies of: Recent passport size colour photograph (jpg/jpeg, ≤2 MB), signature (jpg/jpeg, ≤2 MB), and self-attested documents in PDF format (Matriculation certificate, BBA / Intermediate marksheets / certificates, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, category certificates etc.).
- Pay the prescribed application fee online through MECON’s Payment Gateway.
- Submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
- Keep checking the MECON website regularly for updates, admit card, result etc.
General Instructions
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates employed in Central / State Government, Public Sector Enterprises or Autonomous Bodies must produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer at the time of registration and upload the same.
- Candidates must upload valid SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / EWS / PwD / Ex-Servicemen certificates as per Govt. of India format (not more than 1 year old for OBC(NCL)).
- Aadhaar Card is mandatory for online application and uploading. Any mismatch in Aadhaar number will lead to summary rejection.
- A candidate can submit online application for one post only. No modifications are allowed after submission.
- Mere submission of application does not confer any right for employment. Final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
- Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidature.
- All future communications / announcements will be made only through MECON website www.meconlimited.co.in and registered email ID. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly and keep the same email ID & mobile number active for at least 1 year.
- Any dispute with regard to recruitment will be settled within the jurisdiction of Ranchi (Jharkhand) only.
- Decision of Chairman & Managing Director, MECON Limited in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection etc. shall be final and binding on the candidates.
