Meghalaya Energy Corporation (MeECL) has notified 30 contract vacancies for Graduate Apprentice (Arts Stream), Graduate Apprentice (Law Stream), Graduate Apprentice (Science Stream) and Graduate Apprentice (Commerce Stream) posts. Candidates must first enroll online at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal to obtain a valid enrollment ID, and then apply through the prescribed offline application format sent by post or in person to the Office of the Director, Human Resource Development Centre, MeECL, Umiam on or before 30 October 2026. Qualifications are a Degree in Arts Stream, Degree in Law Stream, Degree in Science Stream and Degree in Commerce Stream respectively, with a pay of Rs. 12,300 for each post. The selection process consists of application screening and shortlisting, original certificate verification, and execution of apprenticeship contract.

Nationality
Applicant should be a resident of Meghalaya.
MeECL Graduate Apprentice Qualification
Candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in the year 2024, 2025, or 2026. Candidates who passed before the year 2024 are not eligible. Candidates must get enrolled with the Board of Practical Training (BOPTER) through online enrollment at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and possess a valid enrollment ID generated within a specified period of three years after passing the qualifying examination.

Maximum age limit is 24 years as on 31.05.2026, and the minimum age is not less than 18 years.

- Visit the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and complete online registration to obtain a valid NATS enrollment ID.
- Obtain application format A from the notification PDF.
- Fill out all mandatory fields in the application form in capital letters without using initials.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of EPIC or Passport, consolidated or final mark sheet of essential qualification, conversion certificate for grades if applicable, 10th standard certificate or birth certificate for DOB, 2 passport size photographs, caste certificate, and physical challenge certificate if applicable.
- Fill out the undertaking form with required personal details, place, date, and signature.

MeECL Graduate Apprentice Important Instructions
- Candidates must have an active email ID, mobile number, and EPIC card.
- No graduate holder who has training or job experience for one year or more after attaining the qualification is eligible.
- Persons with previous job experience of one or more years after passing the minimum qualifying examination are not eligible unless approved by the Apprentice Advisor of BOAT.
- Selected candidates will be required to appear for original certificate verification at their own cost.
- Selected candidates must produce a physical fitness certificate from a medical practitioner at their own cost.
- Selected candidates have to execute a contract of apprenticeship and arrange their own transport, accommodation, and food during training.
- Incomplete applications, forms not in the prescribed format, unsigned applications, or applications without required enclosures will be summarily rejected.
