MGUVV Guest Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline

Mahatma Gandhi University of Horticulture and Forestry, Durg (MGUVV) has notified 3 temporary Guest Teacher vacancies for Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Land Scaping Architecture, and Agronomy posts, with applications to be submitted on or before 26 October 2026. Eligible candidates must apply offline by sending the prescribed application form through Speed Post or Registered Post to DEAN, COLLEGE OF HORTICULTURE AND RESEARCH STATION, RAMANUJGANJ, ITI, Building, Kamalpur, Distt. Qualifications and pay vary by post, offering Rs. 1,800 per working day up to a maximum of Rs. 40,000 per month for certain positions as detailed in the official notification. Candidates must attend the interview on 3 November 2026 along with all original documents.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Qualifications Required

• Vegetable Science: Master degree in subject Vegetable Science, Floriculture and Land Scaping Architecture and Agronomy at least 55% marks (or its equivalent grade 6.50 in 10:00 scales) with good academic record.
• Floriculture and Land Scaping Architecture & Agronomy: For candidates having Master's degree, NET (National Eligibility Test) shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Ag. Science, New Delhi) rated referred journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor/Guest Teacher and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentially of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. Degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidates has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not eligible for NET exemption.

Age Limit and Relaxation

Maximum age limit is 40 years. Five (05) years relaxation will be given for SC, ST, OBC and women candidates as per C.G. Govt. rules.

Selection Process

Candidates are invited to appear for a Walk-in- Interview for the contractual position of Guest teacher. Selection is based on walk-in-interview.

• The candidates shall apply through Speed Post/registered Post only in prescribed format. Incomplete applications shall be rejected.
• The post of Guest Teacher is purely temporary for Six Month or till the appointment of regular teacher, whichever is earlier.
• No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for appearing Interview.
• The candidates shall bring all original documents along with 01 set of photocopy for verification on the date of interview failing which they will not be allowed for appearing in interview.
• After selection the candidates have to submit affidavit on judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50/- as per format to agree the terms and conditions prescribed by University.
