Who Can Check the MHT CET Round 2 Allotment Result

Only candidates who completed and confirmed their CAP Round 2 option/preference forms by August 9, 2026 are eligible to view a result against their application. Candidates who did not fill or confirm their option form in this round will not have a fresh allotment status generated for Round 2.

Step-by-Step Guide to Check MHT CET Round 2 Seat Allotment Result

  1. Visit the official candidate portal at fe2026.mahacet.org or cetcell.mahacet.org.
  2. Click on the link titled "CAP Round 2 Provisional Seat Allotment Result" or "Check Provisional Allotment Status CAP Round-II."
  3. Log in using your Application ID (format: EN26...) and Password, or Date of Birth.
  4. Your screen will display the allotted college, branch, and category/quota under which the seat was allotted.
  5. Download and save the allotment letter - you will need it for online seat acceptance and physical reporting.

Post-Allotment Rules: Freeze, Self-Freeze & Betterment Explained

After the result is declared, candidates must choose an option on the portal within the deadline. Failing to act by August 17, 2026, results in forfeiting the allotted seat.

  • Auto-Freeze: Candidates allotted their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd preference are automatically frozen by the system. They cannot participate in CAP Round 3 and must pay the acceptance fee and report to the institute by August 17, 2026.
  • Self-Freeze: Candidates satisfied with a seat outside their top 3 preferences can voluntarily freeze it, pay the fee, and complete admission.

Candidates receiving a fresh allotment in Round 2 must self-verify their details and pay a non-refundable seat acceptance fee of ₹1,000 online between August 13 and August 17, 2026, via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. Candidates who already paid this fee during CAP Round 1 do not need to pay it again for a Round 2 betterment.
