Eligibility Criteria
- Environmental Consultant: a. Applicant should have a Master's degree in Environmental Science/ Management or a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or its equivalent. b. Applicant should have at least seven years' experience in dealing with environmental impact assessment/ monitoring/ management and or in the field given in the job description.
- Legal Consultant -Antarctic Governance: a. Applicant should have a Master's degree in Law. b. Applicant should have at least seven years' experience in dealing with Acts/Rules/ Regulations/By-Laws and or in the field given in the job description.
- Project Scientist-III: Master's Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Managementor Environmental Chemistry or Environmental Engineering or equivalent with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant field from a recognized university with at least 60% marks (first class) in the qualifying degree level.
Salary
- Consultant: Rs. 80,000/- per month
- Project Scientist-III: Rs. 78,000/- + HRA
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit for Project Scientist-III: 45 Years
- Upper Age limit for Consultant: 62 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Selection Process
The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum requirements and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. If the number of applications, received in response to the advertisement are large, it will not be convenient or possible to call all candidates for an interview. Hence, Ministry may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview before the Selection Board to the reasonable limit through the screening process.
