Who Can Apply
Candidates must fulfil the following essential qualifications and eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- Experience: Fifteen years experience in executive cadre in Planning/ Construction/ Design/ Maintenance preferably of Port and Marine Structures in an Industrial/ Commercial/ Govt. Undertaking.
- Deputation Eligibility: Officers holding posts in the scale of Rs. 80000-220000 (Pre-revised Rs. 32900-58000) with three years regular service in the grade in the Civil Engineering Department of a Major Port Authority; OR Officers holding post of Chief Engineer and equivalent posts in the Civil Engineering Department in the scale of Rs. 100000-260000 (pre-revised Rs. 43200-66000/ 18500-450-23900) with two years regular service in the grade or Officers holding post of Deputy Chief Engineer and equivalent posts in the Civil Engineering Department in the scale of pay of Rs. 80000-220000 (Pre-revised Rs. 32900-58000/ 16000-20800) and above with five years regular service in the grade in the Central Government or State Government or Union Territory Administration / Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies (other than Major Port Authorities).
- Age Limit: Upper age limit for direct recruitment is 45 years (Note: Age limit rules apply as specified for direct recruitment/absorption/deputation).
Pay and Tenure
The post carries a revised scale of pay of Rs. 1,00,000-2,60,000 (Pre-revised Rs. 43200-66000). After completion of three years' regular service in the post, the incumbent will be elevated to the scale of pay of Rs. 120000-280000 (pre-revised Rs. 51300-73000) subject to fulfilling relevant conditions.
