Bar Council Registration
Pursuant to MP High Court Jabalpur Writ Petition No. 5096/2022 (Order dated 08.03.2022), candidates from other states are exempted from employment exchange registration. For MP residents, live employment exchange registration is not mandatory at the time of application, but if selected for interview, a valid live employment exchange registration certificate must be presented by the final date of document submission specified by the Commission. Government or non-government employees in Madhya Pradesh are exempted from employment exchange registration subject to submitting a No Objection Certificate or service certificate from their department head or institution.
MPPSC Law Officer Age Limit
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have completed 40 years of age as of 01.01.2027.
Age Relaxation
Upper age limit relaxations are applicable as per Madhya Pradesh Government General Administration Department norms for reserved categories, women, government servants, and ex-servicemen, up to a maximum upper age limit of 45 years where applicable.

MPPSC Law Officer Selection Process
The selection process comprises a Written Examination (OMR based) followed by an Interview.
Written Examination
The written exam will be an OMR-based objective-type test conducted at examination centres in Indore on 13.12.2026. Negative marking is applicable as per exam rules. Candidates who score top marks in the written exam in order of merit will be called for interview in specified ratios depending on the number of available vacancies.
Interview
The interview carries a maximum of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview are 41 for unreserved category and 31 for reserved category and PwD candidates.
