Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for State Service Posts: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Educational Qualification for Maharashtra Police Service: Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Law, Science subjects, or specialized qualifications relevant to police administration.
Essential Requirements: All educational qualifications must be obtained from institutions recognized by appropriate statutory bodies and must be valid as on the closing date of application (20/01/2026).
Desirable Qualifications: Post-graduate degrees, diplomas in relevant fields, and experience in administration or related sectors will be given preference during final selection.
Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer operations and MS Office applications is desirable for all posts.
Language Requirements: Knowledge of Marathi language is mandatory. Candidates must be able to read, write and speak Marathi fluently.

Selection Process
Stage 1 - Preliminary Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Examination of objective type questions covering General Studies, General Aptitude, and relevant subjects based on the post applied
Stage 2 - Mains Examination: Descriptive type written examination testing in-depth knowledge of subjects relevant to the service/post. The paper will be of conventional essay type covering specialized subjects
Stage 3 - Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who qualify in Mains Examination will be called for Interview to test their personality, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for the post
Qualifying Marks: Minimum qualifying marks for Preliminary Examination - General Category: 40%, OBC: 35%, SC/ST/PwBD: 33%
Negative Marking: For objective type questions in Preliminary Examination, 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
Final Merit List: Will be prepared based on marks obtained in Mains Examination and Interview combined
Physical Standards Test (for Maharashtra Police Service): Candidates must meet prescribed physical standards including height, chest measurements, and physical efficiency tests
Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates must undergo medical examination as per standards prescribed by the Government
Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of Interview stage
