Eligibility Criteria
- Indian Nationals interested and eligible for temporary contract positions under project mode.
- For PS-I-01: Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Electronics and Communication or equivalent from a recognized university or AICTE with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
- Desirable for PS-I-01: Minimum two years post-qualification experience in operation/maintenance/management of satellite, radio, HF/VHF wave communication or operation and data acquisition with scientific instruments for atmospheric/meteorological research; familiarity with inventory management/ERP software.
- For PS-I-02: Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences/Computer Science Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant subject from recognized university with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable for PS-I-02: M.E./M.Tech in relevant field; two years experience in development of scientific web applications, databases and Linux/Python/Django as per notification.
- For PS-I-03: Master’s Degree in Physics/Applied Physics/Atmospheric Sciences/Earth Sciences or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable for PS-I-03: Two years experience in operation/maintenance/handling of scientific instruments or atmospheric/meteorological/oceanographic data collection and analysis.
- For PS-I-04: Master’s degree in Science/Technology in Earth Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Hydrochemistry/Environmental Sciences/Environmental Biotechnology or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable for PS-I-04: Two years relevant R&D experience in geochemistry/hydrochemistry/isotope geochemistry; experience in polar field expeditions and laboratory studies using instruments such as ICP-MS.
- For PS-I-05: Master’s Degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Sciences/Geological Sciences/Marine Geology or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
- Desirable for PS-I-05: Two years experience in petrology/ore geology/structural geology/isotopic studies; experience with EPMA/IRMS; experience in marine scientific expeditions, marine geological sample collection and analysis; publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Age Limit (as on 15-12-2025)
- Maximum age: 35 years for all Project Scientist-I posts.
- Age limit relaxable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates as per Government of India norms, where the post is reserved for the category.
- Candidates must produce valid category certificates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS) for claiming relaxation as applicable.
Salary/Stipend
- Consolidated emoluments of Rs. 56,000/- per month for Project Scientist-I.
- HRA as applicable at present for the State of Goa is payable in addition.
- Monthly emoluments are approximate and may vary as per guidelines issued by Competent Authority from time to time.
Selection Process
- Walk-in-interview will be held on 15.12.2025 (Monday).
- Registration time: 08:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; candidates reporting after registration time will not be allowed.
- If the interview is not completed on the stipulated day, it will continue on the subsequent day.
- Selection is for temporary contract basis positions under project mode; no claim for regular/permanent appointment.
- Director, NCPOR reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process or vary the number of posts.
How To Apply
- Candidates have to report for Walk-in-interview at NCPOR on 15.12.2025 within registration time (08:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.).
- Bring one set of self-attested copies of all certificates/testimonials from Class X onwards, caste, experience certificates with period of service, relieving/discharge certificate, etc., as per Annexure-I.
- Bring original certificates related to educational qualifications, date of birth, passport, work experience, caste, and identity proof for verification.
- Carry a recent passport size photograph pasted in the application form (Annexure-I).
- Candidates working in Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies must produce No Objection Certificate or experience certificate from employer at the time of interview.
- If certificates are in a language other than English or Hindi, an attested translation must be enclosed.

Instructions
- The post is on temporary contract basis under project mode; initial engagement is for one year and may be curtailed/extended based on performance and project requirements or co-terminus with project.
- Age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL) as per Government of India norms for reserved posts.
- Candidates must produce latest valid EWS/OBC(NCL) certificates (2025–2026) where applicable.
- Canvassing in any form or bringing influence will lead to disqualification; no interim correspondence will be entertained.
- Experience will be counted after completion of essential qualification; a doctorate degree, if any, will be counted as three years’ experience.
- CGPA must be converted to percentage and conversion certificate produced at verification.
- Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India and outside India.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview; candidates must arrange their own stay.
- Number of vacancies is tentative and may increase/decrease as per project requirement.
- Discrepancies in certificates or concealment of facts will lead to disqualification and termination.
