ANDUAT Recruitment 2026 Overview

The notification is titled "Advertisement for the recruitment of various posts of University". Except Sr. No. 1 (Registrar) and Sr. No. 2 (Librarian), all posts are non-teaching/technical cadre posts. Candidates apply offline by sending the filled form with documents and a demand draft.

ANDUAT Vacancy 2026

ANDUAT has advertised 12 vacancies across 11 posts. Every vacancy is in the Unreserved (UR) category as printed in the notification. Abbreviations used: UR = Unreserved, SC = Scheduled Caste, ST = Scheduled Tribe, OBC = Other Backward Class, EWS = Economically Weaker Section, PWD = Person with Disability.

The horizontal reservation for PWD, dependents of freedom fighters will be applied as per Uttar Pradesh State Government rules, i.e. no. 3/2021/324/2021/65-3-2021-78/99T.C. dated 30-7-2021. Acid Attacked Victims (AAV), Dwarfism (Dw) and Lower Vision (LV) will be given weightage. The reservation policy will be adopted as per Government of Uttar Pradesh rules, wherever applicable.

ANDUAT Recruitment 2026 Important Dates

The notification says age, qualification and other conditions will be determined as on the closing date, i.e. 05.11.2026. Candidates should apply early, as the university will not be responsible for postal delay.

ANDUAT Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility depends on the post applied for. All applicants must meet the essential requirements, and the notification says meeting them does not by itself entitle a candidate to be called for a test or interview. Persons convicted by a court, or against whom criminal proceedings are pending, and persons who are not citizens of India are not eligible. Candidates holding degrees or diplomas from institutions declared fake by the UGC are also not eligible.

Candidates who contracted a marriage while having a living spouse (or married a person having a living spouse) are ineligible, unless the competent authority exempts them as the notification provides. Any other category disqualified by the Government of India/DARE/ICAR from time to time is also ineligible.

ANDUAT Qualification

The notification lists essential and desirable qualifications for each post, with pay details. Candidates must read the original advertisement for exact wording.

ANDUAT Registrar Qualification

Pay: 37400-67000, AGP 10000, P.M. Level 14.

• A postgraduate degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed, from any university.
• At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, of which 8 years as Associate Professor/equivalent with experience in educational administration services; or
• Comparable experience in research/institution or higher education, or 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent post.

Desirable: experience in conducting examinations/maintaining the academic calendar in a semester system / agriculture education system.

ANDUAT Librarian Qualification

Pay: 37400-67000, AGP 10000, P.M. Level 14.

• A Master's degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B on the UGC 7-point scale wherever the grading system is followed, and a consistently good academic record.
• At least ten years as Deputy Librarian (AGP 8000) at any level in a university library, or ten years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in library science, or eighteen years as a college Librarian (AGP 6000).
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in the library and organisation of published work.

Desirable: a Ph.D. in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/Archives and Manuscript keeping.

ANDUAT Director Work & Plant Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 7600, P.M. Level 12.

• A degree in Civil Engineering/Agricultural Engineering from a recognised university.
• 10 years of experience in construction of large public buildings with a Government or public organisation in a responsible position not below the rank of Executive Engineer in a reputed public, Corporation, Co-operative or Autonomous organisation, or a reputed private firm.
• Significant experience in works management and maintenance of residential colonies in large educational, industrial or other organisations.
• At least 10 years of administrative experience in works management in an industrial or other organisation.
• At least 10 years of administrative experience in co-ordinating and supervising the activities of a works department.

Desirable: knowledge of accounts, financial procedure, purchases, management of stores and electricity laws etc.; experience of campus planning and designing.

ANDUAT Joint Director Seed & Farm Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 6600, P.M. Level 11.

• At least IInd Class B.Sc. (Ag.) degree from a recognised university.
• 2nd Class M.Sc. Ag. degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university or on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• 12 years of experience in managing farm operation and farm administration.

Desirable: Ph.D. in Agriculture; capability of managing a mechanised farm; experience of quality seed production/processing.

ANDUAT Editor Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 6600, P.M. Level 11. The notification gives three alternatives, as printed:

• M.Sc. (Ag.)/M.Sc./M.A. with 07 years of experience of journalism and editor in an organisation; or
• 8 years of teaching/research experience and supervision of research in the field of toxicology translation etc. in an institution; or
• Doctoral degree and adequate experience of publication of books and articles (research extension, press radio, coverage etc.).

Desirable: experience of managing a printing press.

ANDUAT Secretary to Vice Chancellor Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10.

• Bachelor degree/graduate from a recognised university.
• Preferable: postgraduate / 2nd Class M.Sc. degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university or on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• A smart personality able to maintain liaison with various departments and officers of the University, and to maintain contacts with other Government departments.
• Ability to handle correspondence of a confidential nature.
• Ability to assist the Vice-Chancellor in administrative matters.

ANDUAT Dy Registrar Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10.

• Bachelor degree/graduate from a recognised university.
• Preferable: postgraduate / 2nd Class M.Sc. degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university or on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• 3 years of experience of working in a University office or in an institution equivalent to a university.

Desirable: experience of working in an institution having course credits in a trimester/semester system of education will be given preference.

ANDUAT Security Officer Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10. Either of the following:

• Ex-Army/Police Officer not below the rank of Captain/Dy. S.P., or having experience in managing security of a big institution/university; OR
• Ex-Serviceman JCO (Subedar or higher rank) or equivalent rank in other paramilitary forces, with 10 years of experience in security.

ANDUAT Farm Manager Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10.

• At least IInd Class B.Sc. (Ag.) degree from a recognised university.
• 2nd Class M.Sc. Ag. degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognised university or on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• 10 years of experience in managing farm operation and farm administration of a mechanised/research farm.

Desirable: experience of quality seed production/processing in any university/institution.

ANDUAT Assistant Engineer (Civil) Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10. At least a graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognised university; preferably two years of experience of civil works in a Govt./Semi-Govt./University or any reputed organisation.

ANDUAT Assistant Engineer (Electric) Qualification

Pay: 15600-39100, GP 5400, M. Level 10. At least a graduate in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university; preferably two years of experience of electrical works in a Govt./Semi-Govt./University or any reputed organisation.

Marks Relaxation (UGC)

The notification quotes the Gazette of India Part III Section 4 dated 11 July 2016 (UGC, New Delhi): a relaxation of 5% marks may be provided at graduate and master's level for SC/ST/Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled)/OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories, based only on the qualifying marks and without grace-mark procedures. The 55% requirement (or equivalent grade) is to be read with this relaxation.

ANDUAT Age Limit

The notification states a relaxation of 03 years for OBC and SC/ST category, and 05 years for PWD, in the upper age limit in direct recruitment for Group A and Group B posts, and 10 years in the upper age limit for Group C and Group D posts, as per G.O. No. 2-EM/2001-KA-4-2013 dated 27.8.2013. The exact way these relaxations apply to each category is not further explained in the notification, so candidates should check the original text. Candidates who are under-age or over-age on the closing date are liable to rejection.

ANDUAT Application Fee

The fee must be paid by Demand Draft in favour of "Comptroller, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya-224 229", payable at SBI, ANDUAT, Branch PITHLA (IFSC 06925). The demand draft should be attached with the application form.

• Bank charges in addition to the specified fee are to be borne by the candidate.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• No concession of application fee is admissible to SC/ST candidates of other states.
• Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate form, in a separate envelope, with the fee for each post.

ANDUAT Salary

The notification gives pay scales, grade pay and pay matrix levels only. It does not state a monthly salary figure. Service conditions, including pay level and age of superannuation, will be as per University/ICAR rules and Government of Uttar Pradesh rules.

ANDUAT Selection Process

Selection will be completed in two phases:

1. Phase I: Screening of application forms and assigning weightage to applicants, and finalisation of the shortlist. A specially constituted committee will screen the forms, giving weightage to academic qualification and experience as mentioned.
2. Phase II: Personal interaction/interview by the selection committee.

If a large number of applications is received, the university is free to conduct a written exam/skill test to shortlist applications. The process may be a Qualifying Test/Written Test/Skill Test/Domain Knowledge Test or a combination. The lists of shortlisted candidates and test details will be published only on the university website. The university does not pay travel expenses for attending the interview.

A Hindi note in the notification states, in summary, that interview call letters will be issued on merit: up to 10 times the vacancies for one post and up to 5 times for each subsequent post, along with candidates scoring equal to the last candidate (this is a plain-language reading; refer to the original Hindi note).

Rights Reserved by the University

• Increase or decrease posts under any category, or not fill any advertised position.
• Withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning a reason.
• Draw reserve panels against possible future vacancies.
• Offer a post at a lower level than advertised, depending on qualifications, experience and performance.
• Fix criteria for screening applications, conduct qualifying/written tests where none is prescribed, and relax age/qualifications/experience at its discretion.

How to Apply for ANDUAT Recruitment 2026

ANDUAT applications are submitted offline. The notification does not mention an online application portal.

1. Download the application form from the university website (www.nduat.org) from 05.10.2026.
2. Fill in the form carefully, including name, father's name, date of birth, category and qualification. Changes are not entertained after submission.
3. Attach the demand draft for the application fee and the required documents.
4. Write on top of the envelope: "Application Form for the post of ______ serial no. of post ______ (Ref: Advt. No. ______ and Last date ______)".
5. Send by Registered / Speed Post so that it reaches the university by 05.11.2026, 5.00 PM.

Other Important Application Conditions

• SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates must attach the necessary latest certificate(s).
• Persons already employed should apply through proper channel, which should reach the university within 30 days after the closing date. An advance copy may be submitted, subject to NOC/Vigilance Clearance Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.
• A candidate can submit only one application form for a particular post. More than one form for a post in a single envelope is a cause of rejection.
• Original certificates and self-attested photocopies, with photo and identity proof, must be brought when asked.
