Consultant – Certification Unit – Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Incumbent is expected to have excellent writing skills and language proficiency, for which a screening test may be administered.
Written Test Condition: If the recruitment process includes a written test, a ratio of 1:5 will be adopted — for 1 vacancy, top 5 candidates will be considered. In case 2 or more candidates qualify with the same marks, all such candidates will be considered.

- Review, update, rationalize and map State Essential Medicines Lists (EMLs) in alignment with revised IPHS, NLEM and program-specific requirements.
- Support categorization of medicines as Essential and Desirable; ensure regulatory compliance under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, NDPS Act and other frameworks.
- Review and assess existing procurement, logistics and supply chain management systems across States/UTs and recommend evidence-based improvements.
- Conduct situational analysis, field visits and gap assessments to support States/UTs under the Free Drugs Service Initiative (FDSI).

Written Test Condition: If the recruitment process includes a written test, a ratio of 1:5 will be adopted — for 1 vacancy, top 5 candidates will be considered. In case 2 or more candidates qualify with the same marks, all such candidates will be considered.

Important Instructions for NHSRC Recruitment 2026 Candidates
- All positions are contractual in nature; candidates will not be treated as employees of NHSRC and will not be entitled to benefits available to regular employees.
- NHSRC shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to selected candidates during and/or after the completion of the contract period.
- Fulfilling the eligibility criteria does not result in shortlisting for interview for Consultant posts.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview; a written test / screening test may also be conducted.
- For the Principal Team Lead (IT) post, Government Officials can also apply on Deputation subject to meeting TOR criteria and submission of NOC from their controlling department.
- All revisions / corrigendum (if any) will be hosted on the NHSRC website only; candidates should visit regularly.
- Candidates selected may be considered for other vacant positions at NHSRC requiring similar skill sets and at an appropriate level.
- All positions involve travel to States and Districts; candidates must be willing to undertake outstation travel.
- Contract for all positions is initially till 31st March 2028 with further extension subject to satisfactory performance.
