NIA Scientific Posts Deputation Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

Only officers of the Central Government / State Government / Universities / Recognized Research Institutions / Union Territories / Public Sector Undertakings / Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisations are eligible to apply on deputation (ISTC) basis. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (ISTC) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Period of deputation (ISTC) including any prior ISTC deputation period shall ordinarily not exceed 3 years.

Common Deputation Service Eligibility (applicable to all posts):

Officers must satisfy ANY ONE of the following service conditions in the parent cadre/department: (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR (ii) With 2 years' service in Pay Band-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with GP Rs. 4800/- or equivalent (for Group-A posts); OR (iii) With 3 years' service in Pay Band-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with GP Rs. 4600/- or equivalent. For Crime Scene Assistant (Group-B), the condition is: 5 years' service in Pay Band-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with GP Rs. 4200/- or equivalent.
