Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: M. Sc./M. Tech. in Physics / Applied Physics / Materials Science / Nanoscience / Nanotechnology and other related areas.
- Essential qualifications: Candidate should have qualified NET/GATE with a consistently good academic record (at least 60% marks in M.Sc.).
- Desirable: Knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB/Mathematica is desirable.
- Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who are working in the field of the project-related area.

Selection Process
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to appear in the interview.
- Candidates are required to appear offline for the interview with a copy of their curriculum vitae and all the relevant original (along with a set of photocopies) certificates.
- The Selection committee has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit by qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
General Information/Instructions
- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The selected candidate will not be permitted to claim for any regular/part-time appointments in this Institute or any other institutes during this period.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to appear in the interview, and no other communications in this regard will be entertained. Candidates are requested to check their email regularly and visit https://www.nitr.ac.in for any updates.
- The candidate is expected to join within 10 days, if selected.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The PI also reserves the right NOT to fill the advertised posts, in the event of exigency, so decided without assigning any reason thereof.
- Selected candidate may be given an opportunity to register for the PhD program as per the Institute norms.
- All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
