NIT Silchar Junior Research Fellow Vacancy Details 2026
Eligibility Criteria
- Junior Research Fellow:
- M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a valid GATE score.
- B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a valid GATE score.
Prior knowledge of Microgrid Dynamics and Control, Renewables (i.e. Solar PV), Power Electronics Converters, AI/ML Algorithms is advantageous but not mandatory.

Age Limit
- Junior Research Fellow: Maximum age limit is 35 years as on the closing date of application.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD candidates will be as per Govt. of India Rules.
Salary / Stipend
- Rs. 37,000/- p.m. for first two years (JRF)
- Rs. 42000/- p.m. for third year (SRF)
