Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. or M.Sc./M.S. or M.E./M.Tech. in ECE/EE/EIE/relevant area with GATE qualification.

Desirable Experience: Knowledge in Semiconductor Devices, Nano/microelectronics, Thin Film Deposition, Device Fabrication, Electrical Characterization and TCAD simulation.
Salary/Stipend
Fellowship/Salary: Rs. 37,000/- per month.
Fellowship for non-GATE candidates will vary as per ANRF guidelines mentioned in the project terms.

Upper age limit: 35 years as on the closing date of application (15/01/2026).
SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN/PWD/EWS candidates will get relaxation on qualification and age as per Government of India Rules.

Selection Process
Applicants will be shortlisted based on screening by the Institute as per eligibility and project requirements.
Interview date, time and mode (online/offline) with other details will be notified to shortlisted candidates through e-mail.
Employed candidates must submit a no-objection certificate from their employer at the time of the interview.
The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be shortlisted for the interview, and may decide not to recruit any candidate if suitable candidates are not found.
Selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement at the time of joining.
General Information/Instructions
The post of Project Associate-I is purely temporary for three (3) years or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier; extension will be based on performance review every 12 months.
The project is supported by SERB-CRG under Project File Number CRG/2023/007346 dated 25 January 2024.
Selected candidates may get an opportunity for Ph.D. admission provided the Institute’s criteria are satisfied.
