Selection Process
- Written Test in two phases (both mandatory to appear):
- Phase 1: General Aptitude (Section-I) – Objective-type (MCQ), 40 questions, 80 marks, 01 hour. Qualifying in nature only.
- Phase 2: Domain Knowledge (Section-II) – Objective-type (MCQ), 40 questions, 80 marks, 01 hour.
- Total: 80 questions, 160 marks. Each correct answer: 02 marks.
- Negative Marking: 0.5 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. Unanswered questions: No negative marks.
- Final merit list based only on marks in Section-II (Domain Knowledge), after qualifying in Section-I.
- Qualifying marks for Section-I decided based on candidates' performance.
General Information/ Instructions
- Venue: New Gallery (Opposite to SBI), NIT Silchar.
- Admit card download link will be available soon on the institute website[](https://www.nits.ac.in/). Candidates must select the respective department name (final and cannot be changed later).
- Carry printed admit card + valid photo ID proof to the venue. No entry without both.
- Follow all instructions mentioned in the admit card.
