Punjab State e-Governance Society (PSeGS) has announced 1 vacancy for the Deputy General Manager (Technical) Cyber Security post on a contract basis. Who Can Apply

• Essential Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc in (IT / Computer Science / Electronics) / B.C.A from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Experience: Minimum 13 years of relevant experience in the field of Cyber Security.
• Age Limit: Maximum age of 42 years as on 01.08.2026.
• Language Requirement: Working knowledge of Punjabi is essential. Candidates who have not passed Punjabi at the Matriculation (10th) level must pass a Punjabi language proficiency test conducted by the Punjab School Education Board or Department of Languages within six months of appointment.

Desirable: Candidates with MBA / PGDM / PGDBM / PGP in management shall be preferred.

Pay and Terms

The gross monthly remuneration for the Deputy General Manager (Technical) Cyber Security post is Rs. 1,25,000. The appointment is made purely on a contract basis for an initial period of 2 years, which may be extended on a year-to-year basis depending upon the performance of the appointee and the requirement of PSeGS.

Selection Process

The selection process carries a total of 100 marks distributed across multiple criteria:

• Percentage in qualifying degree: Maximum 20 marks (aggregate percentage in required base qualification divided by 5, rounded up to 1 decimal point).
• Additional relevant qualifications: Maximum 10 marks (5 marks for each additional relevant degree/diploma/certificate of more than 6 months over and above the base qualification).
• Additional relevant experience: Maximum 10 marks (1 mark for each completed year of additional relevant experience over and above the required experience).
• Experience in Government of Punjab: Maximum 5 marks (1 mark for each completed year in any organisation of the Government of Punjab).
• Experience in Government: Maximum 5 marks (1 mark for each completed year in any Centre or State Government organisation).
• Scrutiny by Internal Committee: Maximum 20 marks.
• Scrutiny by External Committee: Maximum 30 marks.

Application Fee

The fee must be deposited through RTGS into the PSeGS Yes Bank account. The fee is non-refundable, and applications without proof of fee deposit or not reflecting in the PSeGS account are liable to be rejected summarily.
