RRB JE Selection Process 2026
Candidates are selected through the following stages, in order:
- First Stage CBT (CBT 1): A screening-level test covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. Only candidates who clear CBT 1 (based on RRB's normalization and cut-off process) move to CBT 2.
- Second Stage CBT (CBT 2): A more technical test covering General Awareness, Physics & Chemistry, Basics of Computer Applications, Basics of Environment & Pollution Control, and Technical Abilities specific to the candidate's engineering discipline. Final merit is based on CBT 2 performance.
