Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital Junior Resident (MBBS) Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must possess MBBS degree from a recognized University.
• Candidate should be registered with Delhi Medical Council (DMC) or must have applied for DMC registration on or before the last date of submission of application form.
• Candidate must have completed compulsory rotatory internship on or after 05/12/2023.
• Candidate must not have completed one year Junior Residency in any recognized institution/hospital including regular and Adhoc service to be considered under fresh category.
• In case fresh candidates are not available, those who have already completed one year Junior Residency may also be considered under relaxed criteria.
• Postgraduate doctors who are willing to serve as Junior Residents are also allowed to join as Junior Residents.
• Maximum tenure of Junior Resident (MBBS) is one year including any earlier service as Junior Resident on Adhoc/Regular basis in any recognized institution.
• OBC candidates must produce updated non-creamy layer certificate issued by Govt. of NCT of Delhi in prescribed format.

Age Limit

• Age as on the date of interview.
• UR: 30 years.
• OBC: 33 years.
• SC: 35 years.
• EWS: 30 years.
• PH: 40 years.
• If sufficient fresh candidates are not available, age may be relaxed as per circular F.121/26/2010/H&FW/1996-2045 dated 10.06.2011, with upper age not more than 40 years for General candidates and relaxable as per norms for reserved categories.

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-10.
• Basic Pay Rs. 56,100/- per month plus allowances as admissible under rules.
• Tenure initially 89 days, extendable up to maximum 1 year based on satisfactory performance, work and conduct and till regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
• Candidates under relaxed criteria may be appointed initially for 44 days, extendable up to 1 year based on performance and conduct.

Selection Process

• Selection through walk-in interview to be held on 05/12/2025 in the Conference Hall, Fourth Floor, SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, Delhi.
• Registration for interview from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon only; candidates reporting after 12:00 Noon will not be entertained.
• Separate merit lists will be prepared for fresh candidates and for candidates under relaxed criteria (those who have already completed one year Junior Residency).
• Vacancies will first be filled from the selection and waiting lists of fresh candidates; the relaxed criteria list will be used only if fresh list is exhausted and vacancies remain.
• In case of non-availability of candidates as per criteria, candidates may be selected on Adhoc basis for a tenure of 44 days till regular candidates join.
• Posts are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Delhi OBC only), EWS and PwD as per rules, and may be filled from other categories on Adhoc basis if suitable reserved category candidates are not available.
• Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates.

How To Apply

• Eligible candidates should report for walk-in interview on 05/12/2025 between 9:00 AM and 12:00 Noon in the Conference Hall, Fourth Floor, SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, Delhi - 110083.
• Candidates must bring duly filled application form with recent passport size photograph affixed.
• Candidates must bring original documents along with self-attested photocopies and one original ID plus photocopy (Aadhar Card/Election ID Card/Passport; no other ID accepted).
• Candidates already in Government service must produce No Objection Certificate from their employer.
• Candidates have to bring checklist and documents in the prescribed order (application form, DOB certificate, caste certificate, MBBS marksheets and degree, internship completion certificate, DMC registration, attempt certificate, Aadhaar card).
• After declaration of result, selected candidates must send acceptance of offer to join within 48 hours through email to ms-Sanjay Gandhi Memorial [email protected].
• Candidates must ensure their eligibility before appearing; ineligible candidates’ candidature will be rejected outrightly.

• Candidates must bring all original certificates and testimonials with two passport size photographs on the date of interview.

• Selected residents may avail hostel facility if available; those allotted hostel will not be allowed to vacate it till completion of tenure/resignation/termination.
• Selected candidates must give an undertaking that they are not working in any Government or Private Health Care Facility at the time of joining and will not work elsewhere during tenure; violation will invite strict action including termination.
• Selected candidates must produce NOC and Last Pay Certificate from previous employer where applicable.
• Candidates must adhere to proper doctor uniform (white apron); non-compliance may lead to strict action including termination.
• Competent Authority reserves the right to amend, cancel or change the advertisement.
• If number of candidates is very high, interview may continue on the next working day or next working day after a holiday without separate intimation.
