Fee is payable online via net banking or Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Ex-Servicemen who have already secured regular civil-side employment under Central Government after availing ESM reservation benefits are NOT eligible for fee waiver and must pay as per their respective category. Fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be held in reserve for any other examination. Candidates applying for multiple posts must pay the examination fee separately for each post. A fee of Rs. 200/- per objection applies for challenging the question paper/provisional answer key.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will consist of bilingual (Hindi/English, except General English) multiple choice questions, over a duration of 120 minutes.

SBC Visakhapatnam Selection Process
- All applicants (CA'A', CH, FED-OG, CMTD-OG) must appear in the online Computer Based Test (CBT).
- There is no Endurance Test/Skill Test for CA'A' and CH applicants; the final provisional merit for these posts is based on CBT merit only.
- For FED(OG): candidates are shortlisted in a ratio of at least 1:15 (vacancy:shortlisted) based on CBT merit for a qualifying Endurance Test (carrying filled sand & water buckets 100m in 45 seconds, 20 squats, 15 push-ups, 15 bent-knee sit-ups), followed by a qualifying Skill Test (driving tests, vehicle mechanism knowledge, tyre-changing, minor repairs, firefighting awareness, etc.).
- For CMTD(OG): candidates are shortlisted in a ratio of at least 1:15 based on CBT merit for a qualifying Skill Test (driving on ramp/road, road rules, vehicle mechanism knowledge, routine vehicle checks). There is no Endurance Test for CMTD(OG).
- Skill Test/Endurance Test is qualifying in nature only; the final merit list for FED(OG) and CMTD(OG) is based on CBT merit, subject to qualifying in the respective test(s).
- In case of a tie in aggregate marks, it is resolved first by Date of Birth (older candidate ranked higher), and if still tied, by alphabetical order of first names.
- Provisional appointment is strictly based on relative merit position in the CBT, subject to document verification, medical examination, and other requirements.

SBC Visakhapatnam Important Instructions
- Only online applications will be accepted; no other mode of application is permitted.
- Mistakes made while filling the online application form cannot be corrected by SBC(V) after final submission.
- Applicants must not submit multiple applications for the same post; if submitted due to unavoidable circumstances, the application with the higher registration number will be considered.
- Candidates should carry the Admit Card printout along with an original, valid photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving License/Voter's Card/Bank Passbook with photograph) to the examination venue; Ration Card and Learner's Driving License are not accepted.
- The name on the Admit Card must exactly match the name on the photo ID; any mismatch will result in the candidate not being allowed to appear for the examination.
- Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets, including Bluetooth devices, are banned within examination centre premises; possession (even switched off) is considered use of unfair means and may lead to debarment and criminal proceedings.
- Candidates working in Central Government must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) when demanded, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
- TA/DA is not admissible for the CBT and Skill Test; candidates must make their own arrangements for lodging/boarding.
- Facility of scribe/compensatory time (20 minutes per hour) is available for eligible PwBD/PwD candidates as per the prescribed medical certificate and undertaking formats, detailed in the notification.
- Court jurisdiction for any dispute regarding this recruitment lies exclusively with Courts/Tribunals in Visakhapatnam.
