Eligibility Criteria
Project Scientist
- Essential Qualification: Doctorate in Science (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) OR Masters in Engineering / Technology (Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/ Information Technology/Electrical and Electronics Engineering) with 60% from a recognized University or equivalent
- Experience: 3 (Three) to 7 (Seven) Years of relevant experience (Doctorate in Engineering is equivalent to 4 years)
- Areas of Skill sets/Knowledge required: a) Knowledge of Cryptography b) Knowledge of Post Quantum Cryptography including Lattice based cryptography c) Knowledge of Privacy preserving techniques and their security analysis d) Knowledge in Programming language: C, Rust, Python; Knowledge in Linux, Parallel Programming
Project Associate
- Essential Qualification: a) First Class B.Tech / B.E in Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/ Information Technology/Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with 60% OR b) Master's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics with 60% or above marks or equivalent
- Desirable Qualification: a) Doctoral Degree in Science (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science) OR b) M.Tech / M.E in (Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/ Information Technology/Electrical and Electronics Engineering) with 60% from a recognized University or equivalent
- Experience: 0-2 Years of relevant experience (Masters in Engineering is equivalent to 2 years, Doctoral Degree in Science is equivalent to 3 years)
- Areas of Skill sets/Knowledge required: a) Knowledge of Cryptography b) Knowledge Programming language: C, Rust, Python c) Knowledge in Linux d) Knowledge of web application development using Django/Flask e) Knowledge of application tool development using PyQt
Salary/ Stipend
- Project Scientist: Salary would be Rs 70,000 to 80,000 per month, additional increment may be considered based on the skill sets and relevant experience of candidate
- Project Associate: Consolidated salary would be Rs 40,000 to 60,000 per month, additional increment may be given based on the skill sets and relevant experience of candidate
Age Limit (as on 05 February 2026)
- Project Scientist: Not more than 40 years
- Project Associate: Not more than 35 years

General Information / Instructions
- The positions are purely temporary and filled on a contract basis with consolidated salary under project mode
- The duration of the assignment is initially for a period of One Year and would be extended further based on the need of the project and performance
- There is no scope of continuation / regularization/ absorption under any circumstances
- No TA/DA will be given to candidates appearing for interview
- The prescribed qualifications are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle the candidate to be called for the written test or interview
- The decision of the Executive Director of SETS in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, cancellation of advertisement and filling up or not filling up of post will be final and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this matter
- Number of vacancies may increase/decrease depending upon SETS requirements and such changes will be made by SETS without any notice
