Graduate Apprentices: Full time 4 years Bachelor degree in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Information Technology) in relevant branch, from Institute/University recognized by AICTE
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Full time 3 years Polytechnical diploma in Engineering (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Information Technology) in relevant branch, from Institute/University recognized by AICTE/Board of Technical Education of State
Technician (ITI) Apprentices: Matriculation with regular full time ITI course in respective trade (Electrician/Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant/Fitter/Welder/Mechanic - Electronics Mechanic/Instrumental Mechanic) recognized by NCVT/SCVT
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should be eligible with respect to age criteria and educational qualification as on closing date of advertisement (15/01/2026)
All educational qualifications must be from institutes/universities recognized by AICTE/Board of Technical Education of State/NCVT/SCVT
Result awaited candidates need not apply
Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in SJVN need not apply
Only candidates who are domicile of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply
Candidates who have already been registered and got training under Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT)/National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) Portal will not be entertained
Desirable
Candidates from Project Affected Families (PAF) and Project Affected Areas (PAA) of SJVN will be given preference - 25% of total seats are earmarked for such candidates with first preference to members of Project Affected Families
Candidates will have to produce certificate issued from competent authority/Revenue Department/Panchayat and duly verified by concerned SJVN offices
Experience
No prior experience required
However, candidates who after completion of their education have undergone training or job experience of one year or more shall not be considered eligible for apprenticeship training
If gap between declaration of result and commencement of training is more than Five (5) years, the candidate will be declared not eligible
Salary/Stipend
Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000/- Per Month
Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500/- Per Month
ITI Apprentices: ₹12,500/- Per Month
Training duration is One Year
No extension of training and employment will be given after completion of one year training by SJVN

No Interviews: There will be no interviews for selection
Merit-Based Selection: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list formed on marks secured in examinations
Weightage for Graduate Apprentice:
20% weightage to 10th standard marks
20% weightage to 12th/Diploma marks (whichever is higher, in case of both)
60% weightage to aggregate marks in Engineering degree

Weightage for Diploma Apprentice:
30% weightage to 10th standard marks
70% weightage to Diploma in Engineering marks

Tie-Breaking: In case of tie in total marks between two candidates, the one older in age will be considered senior for further selection process
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates shall have to produce all original testimonials/certificates at time of verification
Medical Fitness: Candidate will have to produce certificate of medical fitness before joining

SJVN Limited is a Nav Ratna Public Sector Undertaking - A Joint Venture of Government of India & Government of Himachal Pradesh
Apprenticeship training is under Apprenticeship Act, 1961
Only domiciles of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply
Candidates can apply for only one trade/discipline for which he/she is most desirous, based on qualification
In case of multiple applications from a candidate, the latest one shall be considered as final and older application shall be rejected
No extension of training and employment will be given after completion of one year training
Candidates will have to make their own stay arrangements
If any information/claim made by applicant is found to be false, candidature shall be cancelled and he/she shall be liable for prosecution
Selection and deployment will be subject to detailed provisions of Apprenticeship Act
All correspondence regarding call letter/offer of apprenticeship training shall be done through registered email and/or mobile phones only
Candidates required to keep registered email and mobile phone active for at least one year from date of registration
All information regarding shortlisted candidates and finally selected candidates shall be made available on official website www.sjvn.nic.in
Call letters shall be emailed to candidates at registered email IDs - No separate call letters by post
