Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Good academic record with a Master's degree in Yoga or any other relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade where grading system is applicable) or equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University.
• In addition, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar test like SLET/SET, or been awarded Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 (and subsequent amendments).
• Ability to teach in Sanskrit medium is mandatory.
• The Guest Faculty in Yoga will also have to perform Yoga training duties along with teaching.

Salary/ Stipend

• Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, with a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month (whichever is less).

Selection Process

• Selection will be through Interview.
• Shortlisting for interview based on academic scores as specified in UGC Appendix II (Table 3A for universities or 3B for colleges).
• Final selection based on performance in the interview.
• Eligible candidates must bring all original certificates and photocopies to the interview.

General Information / Instructions

• The university administration reserves the right to terminate the appointment at any time before the end of academic session 2025-26.
• If any false/incorrect documents or claims are found at any stage, action will be taken as per rules, and appointment may be terminated.
• The Guest Assistant Professor must perform teaching and other duties assigned by the Head of Department/Peeth and university administration.
• The appointment is for academic session 2025-26 and may be extended based on performance and university rules.
• No allowances, pension, gratuity, leave encashment, etc., will be admissible.
• The competent authority may cancel this notification.
