Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009 are exempt from NET/SET if their degree was awarded in regular mode, the thesis was evaluated by at least two examiners, an open viva voce was conducted, and they have published two research papers from their Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal) along with two conference/seminar paper presentations funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies. Applicants with teaching experience at the PG level will be preferred.
