Important Notes on Documents
- KUTUMBA portal registration is optional for applying on SSP. Students can check their KUTUMBA ID at kutumba-services.karnataka.gov.in, or register at kutumba.karnataka.gov.in/mykutumba if not already available.
- To complete the application, the student's academic information for 2025-26 must be available either on the UUCMS portal, or the concerned University/Board must have pushed the academic data to the UNIDATA server.
- To apply as a hosteller on SSP, the student's hostel registration information must be available either on the State Hostel Portal (SHP) or the SSP-HMIS portal.
How to Apply for SSP Post Matric Scholarship 2026-27 - Step by Step
- Visit the State Scholarship Portal homepage.
- If applying for the first time, click "Create New Account" (applicable to both Pre-Matric and Post-Matric students) and complete registration.
- If you already have an SSP account, click "Login to SSP Student Account to Apply for Post Matric Scholarship for FY 2026-27" and log in using your SSP ID and Password.
- Complete e-KYC before proceeding - go to the "eKYC" menu, enter your Aadhaar number, and verify using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Step 1: Fill in your 10th standard details (SSLC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS/KOS/IGCSE), Caste/Income Certificate details, Disability details (if applicable), and Personal details (district, taluk, assembly constituency, address, domicile status).

- Step 3: Upload E-Attestation documents applicable to your case (e.g., Parent's Salary Certificate, Defence Certificate, Bonafide Certificate, SSLC/PUC marks card, previous year marks sheet) via the "Upload/View e-Attestation" module in PDF format (maximum 2MB per file).
- Step 4: Fill in Day Scholar or Hosteller details. Select "Day Scholar," "Community Hostel," or "Department/College/University run hostel" as applicable, and fill in the relevant hostel details.
- Ensure OTR (One Time Registration) is completed if applying under Social Welfare, Scheduled Tribe Welfare, or Backward Classes Welfare Department schemes - applications cannot be submitted without it.
- Ensure your Aadhaar number is seeded with your bank account and mapped with NPCI, as scholarship disbursal for most departments requires an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. Note: Indian Post Payment Bank accounts are not accepted for Aadhaar seeding.
- Step 5: Review all details filled in Steps 1 to 4 on the Preview screen. Confirm all details are correct, then submit the application.

- Stipend and Non-Practicing Certificate - for postgraduate medical students
- Bonafide Certificate - for SC/ST students currently studying outside Karnataka

How to Know Your SSP Student ID / SSP ID
Students who have forgotten their SSP Student ID can retrieve it using the "Know SSP ID" or "Know Your Student ID" option available on the SSP login page, by entering their registered Aadhaar number. How to Check SSP Post Matric Scholarship Application Status

SSP Post Matric Scholarship - Important Eligibility Notes
- OTR (One Time Registration) is mandatory to avail scholarship under Backward Classes Welfare, Scheduled Tribe Welfare, and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department schemes.
- For CM Raitha Vidyanidhi (CMRVN)/ALRVN scheme applicants, an Income Certificate is mandatory; students without a Caste/Income Certificate number cannot be considered under these schemes.
- For Labour/Sarige Vidyanidhi/Nekar Vidyanidhi/Meenugarara Vidyanidhi scheme applicants, a Caste/Income Certificate is not required.
- Students admitted to professional degree courses through a private seat in a private college, COMEDK, or Management quota are not eligible to apply under the Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department scheme (this restriction is subject to change as per department policy).
