The School of Human Ecology at TISS Mumbai is recruiting for two positions under the Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma-Focused Therapy program.

Who Can Apply

Candidates must fulfil the essential qualification requirements prescribed by the institute to be eligible for consideration.

• Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology with relevant experience in clinical practice and/or teaching.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with M.Phil and having completed a foundational training in trauma-informed psychotherapy will be preferred. Conversant with MS PowerPoint and ability to create collaterals like flyers, posters etc using softwares like Canva. Good communication skills in English and Hindi. Ability to work in a team with quick turnaround time.

Pay and Tenure

The positions are offered for a fixed duration of 09 months, starting from 1 November 2026 and concluding on 31 July 2027. The consolidated remuneration is Rs. 60,000/- per month for the Full-Time Teaching Assistant and Rs. 45,000/- per month for the Part-Time Teaching Assistant. The selected candidate would be required to join within 15 days of selection.

TISS Teaching Assistant Job Description

The Teaching Assistant will assist the Faculty-in-Charge for the STP with the following responsibilities:

• Collate and curate teaching materials and learning aids.
• Assist in evaluation and documentation aspects of the program.
• Coordinating with students in the courses regarding classes, tasks, and deadlines.
• Generating creative content regarding the course, such as announcements, events, posters, etc., and circulation on Social Media via TISS’ authorized channels.
• Liaising with organizations regarding fieldwork.
• Coordination with staff and faculty in the course.
• Assist in documentation of ongoing research.

Note: The Teaching Assistant will not be required to conduct classes by themselves.
