- Consultant (Artificial Intelligence): B.Tech/B.E/MCA/MSc in Computers/Information Technology or equivalent as essential qualification; M.Tech in Computers/IT or equivalent as desirable, along with certification in AI/ML/DL/Data Science such as Certified Data Scientist or Certified AI Engineer.
- Essential post‑qualification experience for AI Consultant: minimum 8+ years in Telecom/IT field with at least 3 years’ experience in AI/ML/DL (Deep Learning) domain and technology strategy roles, plus strong skills in AI/ML/DL, GenAI, analytics, modern digital platforms, tools like Power BI/Tableau/Qlik/Looker, programming (Python, R, SQL, Java, Julia, SAS), AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PySpark, Scikit‑Learn, Hugging Face, RegTech), regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, DPDP Act, IT Act, etc.), and domain expertise in telecom and broadcasting with good communication skills.
- Consultant (Data Privacy & Cyber Security): B.Tech/B.E in Electronics/Telecommunication/Electrical and Electronics/IT/Computers, or MCA/MSc or equivalent as essential qualification; M.Tech in relevant disciplines and security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP/CISM/CISA as desirable.
- Essential post‑qualification experience for Cyber Security Consultant: minimum 8+ years in IT field with at least 5 years’ experience in security focusing on threat analysis, incident response and security architecture, plus skills in programming (Python, SQL, Java), IT infrastructure, cloud security, virtualization, SOAR tools, firewall/IDS/IPS/VPN configuration, penetration testing, security assessment, risk analysis, EDR/SIEM, DPDP and data protection rules, cyber‑attack analysis, strategic planning, ISO‑2700/ITIL, CTI frameworks (MISP, OpenCTI, MITRE) and STIX/TAXII.
- Candidates must be eligible Indian citizens and must upload clear, self‑attested copies of birth, educational and experience documents, with experience matching post‑qualification periods as specified.

Salary/Stipend

Selection Process

Instructions

- Consultants are engaged initially for one year and may be extended annually up to a maximum of four years based on requirement and suitability; TRAI may terminate the contract by giving one month’s notice or without notice in specified circumstances, and the Consultant may also seek termination by giving one month’s written notice.
- TRAI reserves the right to cancel the selection/appointment process for these Consultant posts at any time without assigning any reason, and vacancies are tentative with provision for preparing a reserve panel for near‑future requirements.
