Experience
Supervisor (Nesting):
- Minimum of seven years post-qualification experience in the area of Nesting, related to Plate Processing / CNC Cutting / Production Planning / CAD-CAM in a Ship Building, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment.
- Out of seven years, at least two years of experience shall be in a Supervisory grade.
- Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.
Supervisor (Mechanical):
- Minimum of seven years post-qualification experience in the area of Piping / Machinery / Structural outfitting functions in a Ship Building, Ship Repair, Offshore Fabrication company, Marine related Engineering company, or Government / Semi-Government Company / Establishment.
- Out of seven years, at least two years of experience shall be in a Supervisory grade.
- Desirable: Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, SAP.
UCSL Age Limit
The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 45 years as on 28 October 2026 (applicants should be born on or after 29 October 1981).

UCSL Selection Process
The selection process includes Phase I (Offline Written test comprising Objective Type Test for 40 Marks and Descriptive Type Test for 40 Marks) and Phase II (Power Point presentation on work experience for 20 Marks).
Phase I – Objective Type Test
The objective type test is of 45 minutes duration and carries 40 marks (each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking):

Minimum pass mark: 50% of total marks for Unreserved posts; 40% of total marks for ST candidates.
Phase I – Descriptive Type Test
The descriptive type written test carries 40 marks, of 90 minutes duration, comprising discipline-related questions.
Phase II – Power Point Presentation
Held at Udupi CSL, Malpe, or any other location decided by Udupi CSL, of duration not more than ten minutes highlighting the work experience of candidates, carrying 20 marks.
