UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026 Overview
Note: Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be done purely on the basis of the candidate's normalized PET-2025 score, in category-wise merit order. Candidates whose PET-2025 score is zero, negative, or under Commission-level investigation (UI)/provisional (Provisional) status may apply conditionally, subject to the outcome of the ongoing inquiry.

The application printout will not be available until the fee is reconciled by the bank - this must be completed by 05.10.2026, or at the latest within 7 days, i.e. by 12.10.2026. Essential Educational Qualification
Preferential Qualification
As per Rule 9 of the UP Animal Husbandry Department Veterinary Pharmacist Service Rules, 2025, preference in direct recruitment will be given (all else being equal) to candidates who have:
- Served for a minimum of 2 years in the Territorial Army, OR
- Obtained a National Cadet Corps (NCC) 'B' Certificate
Important: Candidates must possess the essential qualification and all other required eligibility as on the last date of application (05.10.2026), along with the corresponding proof/certificates.
UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Age Limit
Age Relaxation
- Higher maximum age applies to SC, ST, and Other Backward Class candidates of Uttar Pradesh, and other categories notified by the government from time to time, as specified in the relevant government orders.
- UP government service employees get a 5-year relaxation in maximum age limit, as per Personnel Department order dated 27.08.2013.
- Ex-servicemen (who have retired from service by 05.10.2026) get age relaxation as per the UP Public Service (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993 (as amended).
Important: Candidates who are not original/permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh are not eligible for any reservation benefit and will be treated as Unreserved category candidates.
UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Application Fee
- Dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, Divyangjan (PwD), and Outstanding Sportsperson category candidates pay fee according to their original (base) category listed above.
- Fee for the Main Examination is payable separately, only by candidates shortlisted for the Main Exam, and must be paid before downloading the Main Exam admit card.
- Payment modes: Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / UPI, or SBI e-Challan at any SBI branch.
Note: If the fee payment is successful but the application does not appear submitted, candidates should use "Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification" on the Commission's website to reconcile the fee. Fee once deposited cannot be reconciled after the correction deadline (12.10.2026) under any circumstances.
UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection is based solely on a written (Main) examination. Shortlisting for the Main Exam is done using the candidate's normalized PET-2025 score - category-wise, up to 15 times the number of advertised vacancies (including all candidates whose score matches the final cut-off).
Exam Pattern
- Total 100 objective, multiple-choice questions, 100 marks, single question paper, duration 2 hours (120 minutes).
- Negative marking: ¼ (25%) of the marks for that question is deducted for each wrong answer.
- If the exam is held across multiple shifts/days, scores will be normalized as per the procedure notified vide Essential Information No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anu.(Eleven)/2019 dated 22 May 2019.

How to Apply for UPSSSC Veterinary Pharmacist Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official website upsssc.gov.in and locate the advertisement under the "Live Advertisement Segment" on the homepage.
- Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email.
- Personal details recorded in PET-2025 (name, parents' names, category, EWS, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status, contact details) will auto-populate.
- Fill in the essential qualification (educational) details specific to this advertisement, including board/university name, year of passing, certificate number, and marks.
- Enter the verification code and click Submit to generate your 11-digit application registration number; print a copy for your records.
- Photo and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will display automatically (cannot be modified); click Continue.
- Fill "Other Details" (preferential qualification, if any) and review the address details.
- Read and accept the Declaration, tick the checkbox, enter the verification code, and click Save and Submit.
- Pay the requisite fee via Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / UPI, or SBI e-Challan.
- Once fee payment/reconciliation is successful, the application is auto-submitted. Download and print your final application form.
Important: Only the last finally submitted application (with fee successfully paid/reconciled) will be considered valid. No mode other than online is accepted, and applications cannot be modified after the correction deadline of 12.10.2026 under any circumstances.

Important Conditions
- All reserved-category candidates from Uttar Pradesh must mark their category in the application; candidates claiming more than one reserved category will get only the single most beneficial relaxation.
- Candidates who are not original residents of Uttar Pradesh are not eligible for reservation and will be considered under the Unreserved category.
- For women candidates, the caste certificate issued in the name of the father's side alone will be accepted.
- EWS applicants must hold an EWS certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and 05.10.2026, based on financial year 2025-26 income, valid for financial year 2026-27.
- Date of birth recorded in the High School (or equivalent) certificate alone will be accepted; no other document will be considered for age proof.
- Providing false information, or facts that cannot be verified against valid certificates, can lead to cancellation of candidature and debarment from this and future Commission examinations/selections.
- Horizontal reservation category candidates will be adjusted against their own respective vertical (category) reservation.
- Married male candidates with more than one living spouse, and women who marry such men, are not eligible unless exempted by the Governor.
- The UP Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, dated 06.08.2024, applies to this examination; malpractice, impersonation, or concealment of material facts can lead to debarment.
- The Commission does not correspond individually with candidates; all information is published on the official website, which candidates should check regularly.
- Passing the written examination does not itself confer a right to appointment. The Commission reserves the right to modify or cancel the recruitment process.
