VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must hold the qualification specified for their chosen trade in the table above.
- The Office Assistant trade (S. No. 18) is open to female candidates only, with an age limit of 18 to 28 years.

Applying involves two separate steps, both of which must be completed for the application to be accepted.

- After registering the trade preference and updating eKYC on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, submit the online application through the VMC website: vmc.gov.in/Recruitment/Recruitment.aspx.
- Ensure the mobile number and e-mail address entered in the application form are correct and currently in your own use, as these will be used for all further document-verification communication.
Candidates who complete only one of the two steps - portal registration or the VMC website application - will not have a valid application; both are mandatory.

VMC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions
- Candidates engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are covered by its stipend and other applicable rules.
- Local (Vadodara) resident candidates will be given priority in the selection/engagement process.
- If a candidate applies for a trade for which they are not eligible, and this is discovered after selection, their apprenticeship will be cancelled.
- For document verification, the mobile number and e-mail address submitted in the application form must be accurate; if the online application was submitted using someone else's mobile number or e-mail address, the candidate bears responsibility for this. VMC is not responsible if a candidate becomes unreachable later due to a change in mobile number or e-mail address.
- All applications and certificates will be scrutinised; if a candidate's local-residency proof is found to be false or incorrect, if required certificates are found incorrect, or if fraudulent/false certificates are submitted with the application, that candidature will be cancelled at any stage of the process.
