Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must be B.A.M.S. passed from a recognized institution, as applications are invited from eligible B.A.M.S. passed candidates.
- Candidates must have completed one-year internship as per the selection criteria for Junior House Physician.
- Candidates who have already served as Senior House Physician in any institution will not be considered for the post of Junior House Physician in any institution.
- Candidates terminated on genuine grounds by the authority of any institution will not be considered in any case in any institution.
- House Physicianship is performance-based and no candidate will be considered beyond one and half years in the particular institution.
- Relatively fresh candidates (recent year of passing) will be given priority during selection.
- Candidates who have performed Junior House Physicianship for a shorter duration will be given priority.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Junior House Physicianship in Kayachikitsa and/or secured high marks in Kayachikitsa; otherwise aggregate final year marks will be considered.
- House Physicianship certificate from the head of the last attended institution will be taken into consideration during selection.
- Suppression of facts or submission of false statements will lead to cancellation of candidature and intimation to appropriate authority for further action.
Selection Process
- Selection will follow the “Selection criteria for Junior House-Physician of IPGAE & R at SVSP, Kolkata” as per No. DAY/121/97/1(3), dated 20.01.1997.
- House Physicianship tenure will ordinarily be for one year, initially for six months, and is strictly performance-based.
- Priority will be given to relatively fresh graduates, candidates with shorter prior Junior House Physicianship duration, and those with Kayachikitsa Junior House Physicianship/high marks in Kayachikitsa.
