Syllabus:
Syllabus for Preliminary Examination:
I. Paper I – (200 marks/ 2 hrs)
1. Current Events of State, National & International importance.
2. History of India and Indian National Movement.
3. Main features of Indian Constitution.
4. Panchayati Raj (local Self Government)
5. Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, demographics
main environmental, social, educational, health, rural & urban developmental programmes of Central and State Government.
6. General aspect about law & order and international security.
II. Paper II -(200 marks/2 hrs)
1. General Science (class X level)
2. Mathematics (class X level)
3. English (class X level)
Note: The Preliminary Examination shall consist of two papers of 200 marks each. The time limit for each paper shall be of two hours duration. The question will be of multiple choice/ objective type.
Syllabus for Main Examination:
1. English – 50 marks
i) Essay writing – 10
ii) Letter writing – 10
iii) Unseen passage – 20
iv) Report Writing – 10
2. General Knowledge – 50 (Fifty) marks
i) Pertaining to Sikkim, India & world.
3. General Paper 200 (two hundred) marks
General paper will include all subjects studied upto class X level
