IOB Clerk Recruitment 2012 – Apply Online for 1500 Vacancies: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has issued notification against recruitment of 1500 Clerical vacancies. Candidates who have taken the Common Written Examination (CWE) for Clerical Cadre conducted by IBPS in Nov/Dec 2011-12 and obtained a valid IBPS CWE-Clerk 2011-12 Score Card are only eligible to apply. Eligible candidates may apply online on or before 14-07-2012. Other details like age limit, educational qualification, application fee details, selection process and how to apply are given below…
IOB Vacancy Details:
Number of Vacancies: 1500
Name of Post: Clerk
Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 18 years to 28 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-08-2011. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules).
Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed HSC with 65% marks or Diploma in Banking with 60% marks or any Degree with 50% marks. (60%, 55% and 45% minimum marks respectively for SC/ST/PC/EXSM).
IBPS Score Card Minimum Weighted Score: For General Category – TWSS – Minimum Score 120 and For Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC/PC) – TWS – Minimum Score 105. Individual Test Cut Off marks would be 24 and above for General and 21 and above for Reserved category candidates.
Application Fee Details: Candidates need to pay application fee of Rs. 100/- in case of General and OBC candidates and Rs. 20/- in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates. Challan must be downloaded from the website and payment must be made at any branch of IOB in cash.
Selection Process: Initial short listing of candidates will be made on the basis of CWE score and final selections will be made on the basis of Interview.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates need to apply only through Online mode from IOB website on or before 14-07-2012. After submission of application candidates can take a printout of the system generated on-line application form to be submitted at the time of the interview. The registration number and password generated should also be retained for future reference.
Instructions for Online Application:
1. Log on to www.iob.in to start the Online Registration process and select the ‘Careers’ link.
2. Select the link, Annexure Payment Receipt Challan, for downloading Challan.
3. Take print of Bank Challan and to make payment at any branch of IOB as per instruction given above.
4. Make payment and revisit the Bank’s website and this time select Apply Online link.
5. Fill all marked details carefully, check once before submission and click on ‘Submit’ button.
6. Take print of Application Form and retain it to be produced at the time of Interview (if called for).

Opening Date for Online Registration: 29-06-2012
Closing Date for Online Registration: 14-07-2012
Payment of Application Fee /Intimation Charge: from 29-06-2012 to 14-07-2012
Tentative Date of Interview: Aug/Sept 2012

The Candidates should pass with 65% marks in HSC of 10 + 2 (10+2+3) pattern or Intermediate or any equivalent examination A pass with 60% marks in Diploma in Banking or degree with a minimum of 50% of marks in any discipline from a recognized University and have scored minimum Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS)in the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS should only apply for post of Clerk in IOB Bank.
Sir at time of clerk exam the eligibility asked was inter. but now they are asking degree as qualification,to be completed by 2011 what to do.please reply?

sir, i want to know about degree its graduation or post graduation. i have 45% in graduation and 65% in post graduation & belongs to general category. am I eligible for this bank? there mentions only any degree with 50% in banks advertisement.kindly tell me i m regular reader of your website.

Each and every bank will specify the required score in the notification and it adopt its own selection procedure to short list the candidates for interview.
