SSC Junior Translator CSOLS Examination 2010: Examination Scheme

Scheme of Examination:
The examination will consist of two parts,
Part-I – Written Examination, carrying 400 marks; and
Part-II – Personality Test (Interview), carrying 100 Marks.

Details are Given Below:

Part-I:
Written Examination: The Written Examination will be held on 24.05.2009 and will consist of two papers.

The maximum marks allotted to each paper and the duration of each paper will be as under:-

Translation-2 passages 1 each from Hindi to English and vice versa and an essay each in Hindi & English

Note-1: All candidates have to appear in both the papers mentioned above.

Note-2: Paper I will consist of objective type questions only.

Note-3: Paper II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain a minimum qualifying standard in Paper I as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.

Note-4: Candidates must write the papers in their own hand. in no case and circumstances will they be allowed or provided the help of a scribe to write the answers for them.

Part-II:

Personality Test/Interview: 100 Marks

Note-I: Only those candidates who secure in the written examination the minimum qualifying marks as may be fixed by the Commission at their discretion, will be eligible to appear at the Interview.

The interview will be held at the Commission’s Regional/Sub-Regional Offices or at any other place as decided by the Commission.

Note-II: SC/ST candidates called for interview will be paid TA as per Goverment Orders. However, no TA is payable to any candidate for appearing in the written examination.

Note-III: Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
