1. Civil Judges: 185 Posts
i. General Turn: 56 Posts
2. Scheduled Castes: 29 Posts
3. Scheduled Castes (Arunthathiyars on preferential basis): 06 Posts
4. Schedules Tribes: 02 Posts
5. Backward Classes (other than Backward Class Muslims): 49 Posts
6. Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities: 37 Posts
7. Backward Class Muslims: 06 Posts
Age Limit: For Practicing Advocates/Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors maximum 25 years and minimum 35 years, for Fresh Law Graduates maximum 22 years and minimum 27 years as on 01/07/2012.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Examination Fee: Rs-200/- paid in the form of Demand Draft Drawn in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Madras, payable at Chennai. Candidates belonging to SC/ST are exempted from payment of the Examination Fee.
Selection Process: Selection is based on Written Examination & Viva Voce.
How to Apply: The eligible candidates can apply through prescribed application format available in the http://www.tn.gov.in/departments/home.html send it along with Demand Draft and all the enclosures to the following address office of the Principal Secretary to Government, Home Department, Fort St. George, Chennai-600 009 on or before 20/02/2012 by 5.45 PM.
