WBPDCL Vacancy Details:
Total No of Posts: 60
Name of the Post:
1. Technician Apprentice (Graduate in Engineering): 30 Posts
2. Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering): 30 Posts
a. Mechanical: 26 Posts
b. Electrical: 20 Posts
c. Instrumentation/ Electronics: 14 Posts
Age Limit: Candidates age should be 18-25 years for post-2, 18-24 years for post-2 as on 01-02-2018.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Graduation degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation from any institute recognized by the AICTE for post-1, Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Instrumentation from any institute recognized by the AICTE for post-2.
Selection Process: Candidates shall be called for Personal Interview (PI) based on percentage of marks.

2. Assistant Mines Manager: 09 Posts
3. Survey Officer: 03 Posts
4. Welfare Officer: 03 Posts
5. Surveyor: 03 Posts
6. Junior Engineer (Mechanical): 03 Posts
7. Junior Engineer (Electrical): 03 Posts
Age Limit: Candidates maximum age should be 45 years for Post 1 to 4, 34 years for Post 5 to 7 as on 01-02-2018. Age relaxation is applicable by 05 years for SC/ ST, 03 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 10 years for PWD candidates as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Full time B.E/ B.Tech. Degree/ Integrated M.Tech/ Dual-degree/ B.Sc through lateral entry/ AMIE in Mining Engineering with with 1st Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency under the Coal Mines Regulation for Post 1, Full time B.E/ B.Tech. Degree/ Integrated M.Tech/ Dual-degree/ B.Sc/ Diploma or Diploma through lateral entry in Mining Engineering with with 2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency under the Coal Mines Regulation, for Post 2, Diploma or Diploma through lateral entry in Survey Engineering for Post 3, full time Post-Graduate Degree/ Diploma (PGDBM)/ MBA/ MHRM with specialization in Personnel Management/ IR/ HR, Graduate with Diploma in Social Science or Labour Welfare or equivalent qualification for Post 4, Diploma or Diploma through lateral entry in Survey Engineering for Post 5, Diploma or Diploma through lateral entry in Mechanical Engineering/ Mining Machinery for Post 6, Full time Diploma or Diploma through lateral entry in Electrical Engineering/ Mining Machinery for Post 7 with relevant experience. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Personal Interview fro Post 1, 5 to 7, written test, group discussion and personal Interview for Post 2 to 4.
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs. 300/- for General and OBC candidates through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking etc through SBI Collect. SC/ ST/ EC / PWD/ WBPDCL Contractors’ workers & WBPDCL Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fees.

As per the notification candidates should have Diploma in Mining Engineering from any institute recognized by the AICTE with at least 2nd Class Mine Manager’s Certificate in order to apply for Blasting Officer post and Diploma in Survey from any institute recognized by the AICTE with DGMS Certified Survey Certificate in order to apply for Survey Officer post in WBPDCL.

As per the notification candidates must have 03 years full time course Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any institute recognized by the AICTE are eligible to apply for the post of Technician Apprentice under Electrical discipline in WBPDCL.

As per the notification of WBPDCL candidates should not have completed three years after passing of the qualifying examination as on 01.01.2017 i.e, candidates having passed the Diploma in Engineering in the year 2014, 2015, 2016 are only eligible to apply for 60 vacancies.
