The total number of vacancies for AIIMS Kalyani Senior Resident (Non-Academic) Recruitment 2026 is 133 posts, distributed across multiple departments. Overall reservation breakup is UR-25, OBC-59, SC-15, ST-14, EWS-20. 4% of the total vacancies are horizontally reserved for PwD (OPH-OL) as per rules.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Senior Resident – Medical Candidates: A Post Graduation Medical Degree MD/MS/DNB or equivalent in respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute as per Central Residency Scheme. All terms and conditions of the Residency Scheme are applicable.
- Candidates with MD in Hospital Administration / Master’s in Hospital Administration (full time after MBBS) / DNB in Hospital Administration can apply for Senior Resident in Hospital Administration.
- Candidates with MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine / Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion can apply for Senior Resident in Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank.
- Candidates with MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine / Orthopedics / General Surgery / Anesthesiology / General Medicine / Pediatrics can apply for Senior Resident in Trauma & Emergency Medicine.
- DM/MCh/DNB or equivalent in respective super-specialty disciplines from recognized University/Institute as per Residency Scheme where applicable.
- Dentistry: Required qualification in the Department of Dentistry is MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics.
- Senior Demonstrator – Non-Medical Candidates (Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry & Biostatistics only): M.Sc. / M.Biotech / M.Stat. in the concerned subject and PhD in concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute.
2. Experience
- The period of experience wherever prescribed shall be counted after obtaining the prescribed qualification.
- Maximum age limit, essential qualification and experiences are to be taken into consideration up to the date of publishing this notification in the Institute website.
Age Limit
- Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of publishing this notification in Institute website.
- Upper age limit is determined as on the date of publishing the notification.
- No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved vacancies.
- Age Relaxation (beyond upper age limit):
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWD (OPH): 10 years
- Age relaxation for other categories will be applicable as per DoPT instructions.
Selection Process
- Based on reporting, interviews will be conducted after verification of application and requisite documents.
- Selection will be purely on the basis of performance in the personal interview.
- If suitable candidates are not found from advertised category, candidates from other categories may be considered against the concerned category on temporary basis for interview.
- Merit list (selected and waiting list) for UR/OBC/SC/ST will be prepared on basis of interview performance.
- Vacancies arising due to non-joining or resignation will be filled from waiting list as per merit.
- Final result will be displayed on AIIMS Kalyani website.

Salary/Stipend
- Senior Resident: Rs. 15,600–39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 (6th CPC); Level 11 of the Pay Matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission + NPA for Medical Graduates.
- Allowances and perks are admissible as per rules in addition to Pay & NPA (for medical candidates only).
- All posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government employees of similar status at Kalyani, West Bengal.
Instructions
Reservation & PwD
- Reservation will be as per Government of India policy.
- 4% of total vacancies are horizontally reserved for PwD-OPH (OL) category candidates.
- Physical requirements: S (Sitting), ST (Standing), W (Walking), MF (Manipulation by Fingers), RW (Reading & Writing).
- Only persons with at least 40% physical disability are eligible under OH quota, supported by Disability Certificate in prescribed format.
General Conditions & Other Instructions
- All posts are whole-time; private practice of any kind is prohibited.

- Qualifications and experience may be relaxed in exceptional cases at discretion of Selection Committee with prior approval of Competent Authority.
