Eligibility Criteria for ANGRAU Teaching Associate 2026

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess Ph.D. in the relevant subject or Master's Degree (M.Sc.(Ag.) in the discipline of Plant Pathology) of 2 years from the ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges. Bachelor's Degree of 4/5 years having first division or equivalent overall grade point average from the ICAR accredited Universities/Colleges. Experience for at least 3 years of respective teaching/research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associate ship/Training/other engagements. Published One research paper in science Citation index (SCI)/NAAS rated ≥4.0 journals from a recognized university/board to apply for ANGRAU Teaching Associate positions.

2. Age Limit

The age limit for ANGRAU Teaching Associate Recruitment 2026 is:

• Maximum Age: 40 years for Men, 45 years for Women
• Age Relaxation: As per government norms (SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen)
• Age calculation date: As mentioned in official notification

3. Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens or as specified in the official notification.

Salary/Stipend

Remuneration (per month): Rs. 61,000/- per month + Applicable HRA for Master's Degree holders. Rs.67,000/- per month + Applicable HRA for Ph.D degree holders.

Instructions

• The individual is engaged purely on temporary and contractual basis which will be terminated after completion of 11 months (or) filling of regular staff, whichever is earlier.
• The incumbent shall not have any claim (or) shall have any right to claim for any regular appointment in University/any government organisation.
• The incumbent shall not have any claim (or) shall have any right for further continuation of contractual service.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidature at the time of selection (or) termination even during the contractual engagement period.
• Contractual engagements can be terminated at any time without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof.
• The engaged persons may also leave the contractual service on their own by giving one-month notice, otherwise to be paid one-month salary before leaving.
• The selected candidates will be required to undergo medical examination at their own expenses as per the rules for ensuring their physical fitness before appointment.
• No T.A & D.A will be given to the candidates appearing for interview.
• The decision of selection committee for the above post will be final and binding in all respects.
• The Associate Dean has right to cancel or postpone the interviews for the said post, for the said date due to any unavoidable circumstances/reason thereof.
