Eligibility Criteria
- Dairy Field Officer / Dairy Technical Officer: Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university / institution in B.Tech (Dairy Technology) / B.Sc. (Dairy Technology) / I.D.D. (D.T./D.H.) (i.e., Diploma in Dairy Technology / Dairy Husbandry) with two years of work experience in the relevant field, along with a related proof certificate. The degree must include proof of passing the prescribed course.
- IDD (DT/DH) refers to Indian Dairy Diploma in Dairy Technology and Indian Dairy Diploma in Dairy Husbandry from various recognized institutions across the country.
- Two years of mandatory work experience (for IDD DT/DH qualified candidates): Experience certificate must be issued by the Director of the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Bihar, Patna, confirming that the candidate has worked in an agriculture/dairy-related post at a Government / Semi-Government / Private institution. No marks will be awarded for qualification without the required experience certificate.
- All certificates and marksheets must be dated on or before 13-03-2026 to be considered valid.

- Backward Class (BC) / Extremely Backward Class (EBC) – Male/Female: Maximum Age 40 years
- SC / ST – Male/Female: Maximum Age 42 years
- Divyang (PwD) candidates: 10 years additional relaxation over applicable category limit (as per Government order dated 22.01.2021)
- State Government employees (regular, who have completed 3 years and are drawing higher pay scale): 5 years relaxation
- Contractual employees of Bihar Government or non-government institutions serving as Dairy Field Officer / Dairy Technical Officer: Relaxation equivalent to the service period, up to a maximum of 25 marks
- Candidates who were within the age limit as on 01.08.2022 (for earlier advertisement No. 06/2023) and are within the revised limit up to 01.08.2026 are also eligible

Selection Process
- Written Competitive Examination (Computer Based Test – CBT): 75 marks
- Experience (Contractual service-based marks): 25 marks
- Merit List Preparation (based on total 100 marks)

Note: The written CBT will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (objective type), to be completed in 2 hours. Question paper will be in Hindi and English. Negative marking applies: 0.25 marks deducted per wrong answer, 1 mark awarded per correct answer. Minimum qualifying marks: General 40%, BC/EBC 36.5%, Extremely Backward 34%, SC/ST/Women/Divyang 32%. Normalization will be applied if exam is held in multiple shifts.
