The written examination for this recruitment was held on 24 June 2026, and the result shortlisting candidates for the PST stage was declared on 18 August 2026. Bihar Police Constable Admit Card 2026
The e-admit card for the PST and Document Verification will be available on the official website from 05/09/2026, 00:00 hrs, under the "Bihar Police" tab. The Board has clearly stated that admit cards will not be sent to candidates by post.
- Candidates who are unable to download their e-admit card for any reason may collect a duplicate copy in person.
- Duplicate admit cards will be issued only on 10 September 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
- Collection point: Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) back office, Harding Road (near Sachivalaya Halt), Patna–800001.
- Candidates must bear their own expenses for collecting a duplicate admit card.
- No entry will be permitted at the PST venue under any circumstances without the admit card.

Documents Required for Verification
Document verification will be conducted on the same day as the PST no separate date or extra time will be given for this. Candidates must carry their admit card along with the original documents listed below and one self-attested photocopy of each.
- A valid photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, or Voter ID Card
- Date of birth proof (original Matriculation/equivalent certificate and marksheet)
- Intermediate or equivalent passing certificate
- Intermediate or equivalent marksheet
- For SC/ST reservation category: caste certificate issued by the competent authority, and permanent residence certificate
- For BC/EBC reservation category: caste certificate, permanent residence certificate, and Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate issued by the competent authority. If the NCL certificate was issued more than one year before the PST date, a declaration in Form-8B (as per General Administration Department Circular No. 15440 dated 05/12/2017) must also be attached
- For dependents of Freedom Fighters (FFW): a certificate signed by the District Magistrate/authorized officer confirming the candidate is a grandson/granddaughter of a former Freedom Fighter (a legal-heir identity card is not accepted), and permanent residence certificate
- For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates: income and asset certificate for FY 2024–25, issued as per Bihar Government Notification No. 2622 dated 26/02/2019 (Annexure-I/Form-I), and permanent residence certificate
- For Bihar Government employees: a certificate from the competent authority confirming a minimum of three years of regular service completed as of the cut-off date
- Any other document that may be required for verification of the candidate's claims as per state government policy circulars in force

Important Notes on Reservation Documents
- Reservation benefits are available only to original/permanent residents of Bihar State.
- For SC, ST, EBC, and BC category women candidates (married or unmarried) claiming reservation, the caste certificate must be issued in the name and address of the father, not the husband.
- For married women claiming EWS reservation, if living with the husband, the income and asset certificate should be issued from the husband's permanent residence (Anchal); however, the candidate must still submit a residence certificate based on her father's permanent residence to establish that she is an original resident of Bihar. The same provision applies to the Non-Creamy Layer certificate.
- As per the General Administration Department letter No. 11/Aa.Vi.-12/2026-Sa.Pr. 5718 dated 25/03/2026, income and asset certificates will be considered valid for one year from the date of issue.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Attendance at the PST on the scheduled date is compulsory; candidates who do not appear will be treated as ineligible, and no second opportunity will be given.
- Document verification will be done only on the PST date; no separate time or date extension will be given, and no request for extension will be entertained.
- If required documents are not submitted at the scheduled date and time, the Board is free to take an appropriate decision accordingly.
- No candidate will be allowed entry to the PST venue without the admit card, under any circumstances.
- Before the PST, all candidates must submit a declaration confirming they are physically and mentally fit and have not consumed any stimulant, intoxicant, or banned drug.
- No request for time extension will be accepted at any stage of the process (PST, document verification, etc.) on grounds such as family issues, personal reasons, medical reasons, fracture, or pregnancy.
- All candidates must fully comply with the terms and conditions mentioned in Advertisement No. 01/2026; candidates found ineligible on any ground at any stage will be disqualified.
- Candidates are advised to stay alert against touts/agents and to inform the police about any such suspicious individuals.
