Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc. in Environmental Science or Analytical Chemistry OR B.E./B.Tech. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university with 3 years R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions or S&T organisations and scientific activities/services.
OR M.Tech./Integrated M.E. in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering from a recognized university.
OR Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized university.
Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and have at least a provisional certificate are eligible; result awaited/final semester or Ph.D. submitted candidates are not eligible.
Salary / Stipend
Monthly emoluments of Rs. 42,000/- plus HRA for the Senior-PAT (Senior Project Associate) post.
Age Limit
Upper age limit for Senior-PAT (Senior Project Associate) is 40 years, reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.

Selection Process
Selection will be done on the basis of Walk-in-Interview at CSIR-NEERI Mumbai Zonal Centre.
Candidates must bring passport-size photo, Aadhaar card, 10th and 12th mark sheets, graduate mark sheets and degree, and filled application form (originals and one set photocopies).
Experience will be counted only after acquiring the minimum essential qualification; dissertation/thesis during academics will not be counted as experience.
No TA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview.
General Information / Instructions
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project; it does not confer any right for regularization against CSIR/CSIR-NEERI posts.
Total project-staff tenure in CSIR-NEERI/other CSIR labs cannot exceed limits prescribed in CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024 and amendments.
Only candidates meeting essential qualifications and with declared results are eligible; final semester/result-awaiting candidates cannot appear.
Time spent in acquiring higher qualifications will not be counted as experience over the essential qualification.
Engagement may be extended or curtailed based on project duration, performance, or conduct, and may be terminated with one month’s notice from either side or one month’s remuneration in lieu.
Project staff must arrange their own accommodation; HRA will be admissible as per rules.
CSIR-NEERI reserves the right to cancel/withdraw the engagement offer at any stage in case of discrepancy in candidature.
