DIBD – DIC Language Expert – Oriya Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential language proficiency: Proficiency in Oriya language, including excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Educational qualification (preferred): Degree / Diploma in Oriya language, linguistics, literature, or a related field; Master’s & PhD degree holders will be given preference.
• Experience: Proven experience of 2–5 years as an Oriya translator, interpreter, or content creator; candidates with 2–5 years practical, hands-on experience in the mentioned areas will be prioritized.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and deep understanding of Oriya grammar, syntax, vocabulary; excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office with knowledge of typing; familiarity with tools commonly used in translation/transcription/content domains; awareness of Unicode fonts & digital content creation.
• Other attributes: Cultural sensitivity and awareness of Oriya language, culture, customs & traditions; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; proficiency with translation and transcription tools is a plus; previous experience in a similar role or in a multicultural environment is preferred; flexibility and adaptability to work on various projects.

Selection Process

• Screening of applications will be based on qualifications, age, academic record and relevant experience.
• DIBD, DIC reserves the right to fill all or some or none of the positions advertised without assigning any reasons.
• Positions are purely temporary for the project; appointees shall not derive any right or claim for permanent appointment at DIBD, DIC.
• DIBD, DIC reserves the right to terminate appointments of all positions with notice of one month or without any notice by paying one month’s salary in lieu of the notice period.

• Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) is an Independent Business Division under Digital India Corporation (DIC) managing and executing “National Language Translation Mission”: BHASHINI.
• BHASHINI works with premier academic institutes (including IITs and IIITs) developing state-of-the-art language AI models; BHASHINI platform already hosts 300+ AI-based language models.
• Positions advertised are purely temporary in nature for DIBD, DIC projects and do not confer any right for absorption in DIBD, DIC now or in future.
• Candidates already in regular/contractual employment under Central/State Government, PSUs or Autonomous Bodies are expected to apply through proper channel or attach a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from employer with application or produce it at the time of interview.
