Salary/Stipend
Monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000/- per month for all internship positions.
Stipend and retention of internship training for six months is applicable only if the student has good academic performance and completes a minimum of 15 working days per month of physical attendance at HEMRL.
Payment will be made in two installments; first installment is paid after completion of 03 months of training.
Stipend will be paid into the bank account of the student after completion of three months.
No payment will be made if a student does not complete a tenure of 03 months or leaves in between the program; Certificate of Completion will not be issued in such cases.

Selection Process
Students must be pursuing 7th/8th semester undergraduate engineering or 1st/2nd year post graduate engineering/science with required academic performance.
Principal/Director of institution must send a request letter recommending highly deserving meritorious students for the internship.
Shortlisted students will only be notified about joining procedures and regarding undertaking forms and indemnity bond to be filled by them and by the head of the institution.
Selection is based entirely on merit basis; no communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates.
Incomplete or erroneous applications or those received after due date will be rejected with no further communication.
Management reserves the right to change vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point during the selection process without assigning any reason.
General Information/Instructions
HEMRL is involved in basic and applied research in high energy materials, including formulation, design and development of propellants, high explosives, pyrotechnics, polymeric materials, liners, insulators and related materials.
Studies include physiochemical and combustion characteristics of materials, detonation phenomena and development of new systems.
The duration of internship/project work is 06 months; completion certificate will be issued after successfully completing 06 months from date of joining.
Boarding/lodging expenses are not admissible; selected candidates can obtain lunch, tea, snacks, etc., at subsidised rates in HEMRL canteen.
HEMRL/DRDO has no obligation to offer employment to interns/project students; interns cannot claim employment rights based on completion of internship.
If a student is unable to complete the internship and leaves mid-way, no certificate of completion will be issued and no stipend will be paid if minimum 03 months are not completed.
