DSSSB 03/2026 - Age Limit & Age Relaxation
Age limits for posts in DSSSB Advertisement 03/2026 vary by post. Most Junior Scientific Assistant posts (FSL) have an age limit of 18 to 27 years. DSSSB 03/2026 Examination Scheme & Selection Process
Selection for all posts in DSSSB Advertisement 03/2026 will be through a Computer Based Test (CBT). The exam scheme is divided into three types depending on the post. Post codes 34/26, 39/26, and 40/26 (IT Assistant Grade-A, Data Processing Assistant, Data Entry Operator) will be examined under the One Tier General (I-T-G) scheme - a 2-hour paper of 200 MCQs covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Hindi, and English (40 marks each). All Forensic Science Laboratory posts, NDMC technical posts, Delhi Archives posts, and the Electrical Overseer post (i.e., post codes 21/26 to 33/26, 35/26 to 38/26, and 45/26) will follow the One Tier Technical (I-T-T) scheme - a 2-hour paper split into Section A (100 MCQs on general subjects, 100 marks) and Section B (100 MCQs on the domain subject, 100 marks). Teaching posts - TGT Computer Science, Domestic Science Teacher, TGT Special Education, and Special Educator Primary (post codes 41/26 to 44/26) - follow the One Tier Technical/Teaching scheme with the same structure, where Section B includes questions on teaching methodology and B.Ed syllabus.
Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for every wrong MCQ answer. Questions will be bilingual (Hindi and English), except language-specific papers. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD. Ex-Servicemen get an additional 5% relaxation in their respective categories, subject to a minimum of 30%.

How to Apply for DSSSB Recruitment 2026 (Advertisement No. 03/2026)
Candidates must apply online only through the official DSSSB portal at dsssbonline.nic.in. Before applying, candidates must complete a one-time registration on the portal. The same user ID and password can be used for all future DSSSB examinations - no separate registration is required for each post. However, only one online application is allowed per post code; if multiple applications are detected for the same post code, all will be rejected and the candidate may be debarred. Once an application is submitted, no corrections or modifications - including change of category - will be permitted under any circumstances.
Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date of 15 July 2026 to avoid last-minute technical issues. The application fee of ₹100 must be paid through SBI e-Pay; no other payment mode is accepted. After successful submission, candidates should download and save a printout of their application for future reference. All supporting documents (educational certificates, caste certificates, experience certificates, etc.) will be required at the time of e-dossier upload, which will be called separately after the written examination. DSSSB 03/2026 - Reservation & OBC Certificate Rules
Reservation benefits are available for SC, ST, OBC (Delhi), EWS, PwBD, ESM, and Meritorious Sports Persons as per Government of NCT of Delhi and Central Government instructions. An important point for OBC candidates: only OBC (Delhi) candidates notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi are eligible for reservation. OBC candidates from outside Delhi will be treated as Unreserved (UR) candidates and must apply under the UR category.
OBC (Delhi) candidates must possess a valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued on or after 01/04/2026 but not later than 15/07/2026 (the closing date). For EWS candidates, an Income & Asset certificate valid for financial year 2026–27, based on income of financial year 2025–26, is required. The reservation roster, earmarking of vacancies, and PwBD post suitability are determined entirely by the respective User Departments, not by DSSSB.
DSSSB 03/2026 - Important Instructions for Candidates
- Only one registration is allowed per candidate on the DSSSB portal. Multiple registrations will lead to cancellation of all applications.
- Only one application per post code is allowed. Multiple applications for the same post code will result in cancellation and debarment.
- The eligibility cut-off date is 15 July 2026 - age, qualification, experience, and all other eligibility conditions will be determined as on this date.
- DSSSB does not verify eligibility at the application stage; candidature is accepted on a provisional basis. Verification happens at the e-dossier stage after the written examination.
- No calculator, mobile phone, Bluetooth device, earbud, camera, smartwatch, or any other electronic gadget is allowed in the examination hall.
- Dress code: light clothes with half sleeves, no big buttons, brooch, or badge; salwar/trouser; slippers or sandals with low heels. Shoes are not allowed.
