Delhi Transco Limited (DTL), a Govt. of NCT of Delhi Undertaking and a State Transmission Utility operating at EHV level (220kV and above), has issued a notification for engagement of Graduate and Technician Apprentices for FY 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The engagement is being carried out under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), administered by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), Northern Region. The notification lists tentative training slots across three apprentice streams. DTL has clarified that the number of slots is provisional/tentative and may vary according to the actual requirement of the company and in compliance with the Apprentices Act, 1961, at the time of engagement.

Apprentice Trainees will be engaged for any location/office within NCT of Delhi, as per the requirement of the organisation.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen and 18 years old or above at the time of application.
• The candidate must have passed the requisite full-time Degree/Diploma in the respective cadre from a recognized University/Board in India within five (05) years of the closing date of application, and must be medically fit as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
• Candidates who have undergone, are undergoing, or are already registered in a NATS contract for training under the Apprenticeship Act elsewhere are not eligible.
• Candidates with work experience of one or more years are not eligible.

Educational Qualification

Age Limit

The notification specifies a minimum age of 18 years at the time of application. No upper age limit is mentioned in the official notification.

Stipend (Salary)

The stipend will be paid for 12 months of Apprenticeship. Of this amount, 50% will be paid by DTL and the remaining 50% by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), NR, Govt. of India, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into the registered bank account of the Apprentice.

Leave Entitlement

Apprentices are entitled to 08 days of Casual Leave and 15 days of Medical Leave (on medical illness grounds), on a pro-rata basis, for one year of Apprenticeship duration.

Selection Process

• Applications will be screened on a First Come First Serve basis, according to the eligibility criteria, the prescribed qualification applicable to the respective trade, and the number of training slots notified in the advertisement.
• Selection is based on the First Come First Serve basis of the eligible qualifying course.

The notification does not mention any written test, interview, or other selection stage beyond the First Come First Serve basis described above.

Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and Aadhaar Seeding Requirement

• The candidate should have an active Aadhaar-seeded bank account, and the same should be DBT-enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer as per Govt. of India norms.
• These bank details must be submitted in the online application while applying.
• The Name and Date of Birth of the applicant should be the same across the Matriculation (10th class) certificate, Aadhaar Card, and bank account.

Documents Required

Candidates must report to the venue with a duly filled application form (available on the DTL website) along with one set of self-attested photocopies and two recent passport-size colour photographs, plus the following original documents:

1. 10th/12th Marksheet
2. Degree/Diploma certificate or Provisional Certificate
3. All semester marksheets (in case marks are in GPA/CGPA, as per University guidelines for converting GPA/CGPA to percentage)
4. Valid PAN Card
5. Valid Aadhaar Card
6. APAR ID
7. Bank account details/Cancelled Cheque etc. (DBT-enabled account details)
8. Caste/PWD Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (for reserved category applicants)
9. Details of registration on the NATS Portal

1. Register as a "STUDENT" on the Apprenticeship portal: www.nats.education.gov.in, and obtain a valid APAR ID.
2. Download the application form from the DTL website: https://dtl.gov.in
3. Fill the application form in all respects.
4. Send the duly filled application form so that it reaches the address given below within the stipulated date and time (31 July 2026, 5:30 PM):

Important Instructions

• Apprentices will be governed by the reservation rules applicable in DTL and the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in selection.
• After completion of the Apprenticeship Training, the apprenticeship contract will be terminated, and there will be no obligation on the part of DTL to offer any employment.
• Misconduct in any form will result in disqualification.
• Apprentice Trainees are not covered under the provisions of the Provident Fund Act.
• Apprentice Trainees are out of ESI, as they are not employees of the organisation.
• Apprentice Trainees are requested to keep a record of their Apprentice Training and attendance, and to submit the same to the Training Department on a monthly basis.
• Apprentice Trainees will neither claim any employment nor be provided any remuneration (beyond stipend), TA/DA, or accommodation.
• DTL shall not entertain any claims of injury/accident, theft, or other natural calamity or loss inflicted during the course of Apprenticeship Training.
• DTL reserves the right to amend the Terms & Conditions at any time; apprentices will be notified of changes via email or official communication channels.
• DTL reserves the right to cancel, increase, or decrease the number of candidates for engagement of Apprentices.
• Any corrigendum/addendum regarding this advertisement will be made available on the DTL website and the NATS portal; candidates are advised to check regularly.
• DTL will not communicate to any applicant regarding their non-selection.
