GMC KB Asifabad Age Limit
- Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor: below 69 years as on 31-07-2026
- Senior Resident, broad specialties: upper age limit 45 years
- Senior Resident, in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine: upper age limit 50 years

GMC KB Asifabad Salary / Consolidated Pay
Selected faculty will be paid a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration as per G.O. Rt. No. 1276, Finance (HRM.VII) Department, dated 16 July 2026. The remuneration is all-inclusive and subject to tax deduction at source and other statutory deductions.
GMC KB Asifabad Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected based on merit, duration of teaching experience, and interview.
- For Professor and Associate Professor posts, the duration of teaching experience in that cadre and total teaching experience will be considered.
- Selection is nationwide, with first preference given to local candidates for Assistant Professor-level posts; candidates from elsewhere will be considered if local candidates are not available. Professor and Associate Professor posts belong to the state cadre.
- DNB candidates will be selected as per the latest NMC guidelines.
- Rule of Reservation will be followed.

- MBBS Registration and additional PG qualification registration with Telangana State Medical Council (applications without this registration will be rejected; non-local candidates must complete registration within one week of selection)
- Experience certificates for all State Government hospital/institution/programme appointments on contract or outsourced basis
- Senior Resident experience certificate (for Assistant Professor applicants)
- Copies of publications with proof of indexation
- Recent passport-size colour photograph
- Community certificate issued by competent authority, and Physically Handicapped certificate, where applicable

How to Attend the GMC KB Asifabad Walk-In Interview
- Download the application form from the official website, www.gmckumurambheemasifabad.org.
- Fill the application form completely and attach one set of self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
- Report to the O/o Principal, Government Medical College, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, on 11-09-2026, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- Carry all original certificates along with the filled application and photocopies; applications that are incomplete or missing necessary enclosures will be summarily rejected.
- Attend the interview; original certificates will be retained under the custody of the Director, GMC, Siddipet, at the time of joining.
There is no online or postal application process for this recruitment - candidates must appear in person on the interview date.
GMC KB Asifabad Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions
- This is a temporary contract/honorarium appointment up to 31-03-2027, or till vacancies are filled by promotion/regular appointment, or till the need ceases, whichever is earlier; it does not confer any right to future government appointment.
- Non-local candidates must get their qualification registered with the Telangana State Medical Council within one week of selection, for their appointment to be confirmed.
- Selected faculty are eligible for 15 days of leave per calendar year, on a cumulative basis.
- The selected candidate must submit a relieving order from their previous institute, failing which the selection stands cancelled.
- Candidates already working on contract in the same cadre at any other Government Medical College in Telangana are not eligible to apply.
- The contract is liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason; the selected faculty may similarly terminate the contract with one month's prior notice.
- The engaged faculty will be under the administrative control of the institute on a whole-time basis, and services may be utilized in any manner required by the Competent Authority without additional remuneration claims.
- If a selected candidate does not join, the next eligible merit candidate will be selected.
